Christopher Plummer Fits Seamlessly Into New All The Money In The World Trailer

Sony's unprecedented last-minute recasting of Kevin Spacey with Christopher Plummer in its upcoming All the Money in the World is now in full effect in the movie's ad campaign, from a Spacey-free new poster to now, a full trailer.

Not long after first official images of the actor in the recast role hit the web, the studio released the first trailer and TV spots for the new version of the Ridley Scott-directed film today, which is still set on meeting its originally-intended late-December release date.

No film has ever had such a drastic recasting take place so close to its release date, but in light of numerous sexual assault and harassment allegations that were levied against Spacey only three weeks ago, Scott was adamant that Spacey's performance be excised from the film.

Scott was finalizing the movie's score in London when the news of Kevin Spacey's past wrongdoings and plummet from grace broke.

"Someone was like: Guess what? And that's where it began,"  Scott said in an interview with Entertainment Weekly. "I sat and thought about it and realized, we cannot. You can't tolerate any kind of behavior like that. And it will affect the film."

"We cannot let one person's action affect the good work of all these other people," Scott concluded. "It's that simple."

Despite the remarkable time crunch against them in reshooting so many scenes with their lead actors, it looks like Scott and company are actually going to pull it off.

All the Money in the World will be released in theaters on December 22. In the meantime, you can find the original cut of All the Money in the World down the same memory hole as Louis CK's I Love You, Daddy, this Saturday Night Live sketch, and the sixth season of House of Cards
