Maze Runner: The Death Cure Gets An Ominous Poster
Every maze has an end in the new poster for Maze Runner: The Death Cure. The third film in the Maze Runner series will follow Dylan O'Brien's Thomas and his band of escaped Gladers as they embark on their most dangerous mission yet.
That mission will involve them attempting to break into the legendary Last City, a WCKD-controlled labyrinth that may turn out to be the deadliest maze they have ever faced. If they manage to make it through the maze, the Gladers could finally get the answers they have been seeking for years.
As that premise would suggest, the mission will not be all fun and games, and some of the movie's most popular characters could end up biting the dust. The movie's trailer brought up a lot of doom and gloom, featuring ominous warnings to Thomas from his fellow Gladers and from Patricia Clarkson's Ava Paige, who tell him, "Thomas, you can save your friends or you can save us all."
The trilogy-capping film was delayed almost a year from its planned release after O'Brien suffered an injury on set while performing a stunt. Maze Runner: The Death Cure is currently set to hit theaters on Jan. 26, 2018. Thomas Brodie-Sangster, Kaya Scodelario, Giancarlo Esposito, Walton Goggins, Aidan Gillan, Rosa Salazar, Nathalie Emmanuel, Will Poulter, Barry Pepper, Jacob Lofland, and Ki Hong Lee also star in the film, which is directed by Wes Ball based off a script from T.S. Nowlin.
