Russell Murray is a New York-based writer, producer, and story consultant who began writing for Looper in 2022. They served as a member of the news and op-eds teams and a columnist before joining the features team in 2023. Murray has previously contributed to Comic Book Resources and provided freelance script-reading services for writers, agents, and studios across the U.S. In addition to their work with Looper, Murray creates graphic novels, podcasts, and music videos under the banner of their production company, Picture Book Media.
Education
After attending Wake Tech Community College, Murray received acceptance to Ithaca College, where they graduated with honors from the Department of Theatre Arts. During their time at school, they extensively studied performance and political science, as well as stage direction, film production, and dramatic writing.
