The High School Musical: The Musical: The Series Character You Are Based On Your Zodiac Sign

Get ready, Wildcats. The Disney+ original series "High School Musical: The Musical: The Series" is in full swing, and "summertime is finally here." Season 3 sees the theatrical students hanging around at Camp Shallow Lake, where they're learning more about each other and themselves than ever before. The big camp performance of "Frozen: The Musical" and the documentary series "High School Musical" alum Corbin Bleu is producing has everyone in a frenzy. However, in true Wildcat fashion, everyone is working hard to make them both great while singing and dancing their summer away.

Have you ever wondered which character you most resonate with? Each of the characters is so different and has such strong personality traits that all are sure to resonate with you in many ways. Though they all share a love of theater and friendship, some characters are more flamboyant and excitable, whereas others are more brooding or serious. Whether or not you have a favorite character on the show, every "High School Musical: The Musical: The Series" character matches up with one of the zodiac signs. Read on to see which character matches up with your zodiac sign.

Aries: Nini

Aries (March 21 to April 19) is an interesting sign because it can be so contradictory. Aries is bold, brave, and, as as professional astrologer Aliza Kelly notes for Allure, always diving headfirst into any situation, no matter how difficult. As a fire sign, those born under the sign of Aries are passionate and strong leaders who motivate communities with their optimistic nature and tenacity. They don't like complications and opt for a more direct approach, getting burned out by details. Aries signs are defined by their confidence and optimism, which, when paired with their spontaneity, helps them lead effectively.

Nini is the clear Aries choice. She is positive about any situation, even when she's frustrated. She uses her optimism and newfound confidence to unite and lead the Wildcats in their production of "High School Musical." Plus, now that Nini is focusing on her music, she's an even more obvious Aries. The second someone suggests she make a specific social media account for her music, she dives into it headfirst and dedicates all her time to it, and theater soon ends up taking a backseat to her production of music. The same goes for her time at the Youth Actors Conservatory, where she decides to jump into going to school there to see if it's the right fit for her.

Nini is passionate about what she does and never lets fear stand in the way of boldly embarking on new journeys.

Taurus: Mr. Mazzara

Taurus (April 20 to May 20) is, at times, a contradicting sign, Kelly writes in Allure. They enjoy the finer things but are also content with simplicity. Taurus is ambitious, as they are always working hard to achieve their goals and can always bounce back after any setback. However, since Taurus likes comfort, security is also a big necessity. Though usually even-keeled, Taurus can turn vengeful when their loved ones are wronged. Taurus also values loyalty and can come across as headstrong or stubborn. This sign, Kelly writes, knows "how to play the long game in both professional and romantic pursuits."

This sign is Mr. Mazzara to a tee. His initial presence in the show serves to butt heads with Miss Jenn, showing off the hard-working nature of his robotics club. He works hard to help his students learn and eventually works hard to help Miss Jenn in her theatrical pursuits on the technical side. The "long game" romantically is particularly relevant for him with Miss Jenn. He defends her and ends up developing feelings for her, which he lets play out slowly because of her interest in other men.

Mr. Mazzara's stubbornness aimed at his preference for the robotics club comes from the fact that Miss Jenn is so different from him. He's rooted in reality and works hard to earn accolades, whereas Miss Jenn is rooted in fantasy and is often more flamboyant than he is. Overall, though, he's a sweetheart.

Gemini: Gina

Gemini (May 21 to June 20) are complicated signs because, as Kelly puts it in Allure, they're "often falsely misrepresented as two-faced." This sign is wildly driven and always filling up their schedules while trying to balance many loves and interests. They also overanalyze most situations because they're particularly in tune with the emotional climate of spaces. Gemini signs usually have a good social media presence and are bubbly social butterflies. This sign doesn't really feel shame and uses quick wit to rebound from embarrassing situations. That's not to say they're made of stone, though — Gemini signs wear their hearts on their sleeves.

This accurately pegs Gina. There are times when Gina can be two-faced, a fault caused by her overanalysis of every situation and having a nearly unmatched level of drive. However, she's still passionate and kind. Gina often screws up in the romance department, but because she's so confident, she's able to bounce back with ease. She's garnered a big social media following because of her dancing TikToks and is always social once she becomes comfortable with the theater kids.

Like a Gemini, there's more to Gina than either her bubbly confidence or her sometimes deceitful nature, though. Gina struggles emotionally to make connections sometimes because of how often her mom makes them move for her job. Though she's friendly with everyone, it takes a lot to truly let people in, but she's working on breaking down the walls.

Cancer: Ricky

Cancer (June 21 to July 22) is known for being protective. They're highly intuitive to emotional climates and can pick up on any energy. As Kelly writes in Allure, Cancer signs often present a tough exterior and might seem standoffish at first. However, once they feel they can trust the people they're with, that tough exterior melts into a loving and compassionate relationship. More than anything, Cancers have specific attachments to home and because of their intense emotional depth, value security with loved ones.

This description screams Ricky. He is caring, kind, and extremely goofy but requires security. He values stability over everything else and seeks refuge in his relationships with close friends and girlfriends. Ricky can often close himself off to his friends and feels vindictive toward his mother for abandoning him and his father during his parents' separation. Change makes him nervous, like when he feels Nini gaining popularity or branching out on her own, which can make him self-sabotage.

However, he's emotionally in tune with his friends and environment, even when he doesn't always express himself correctly. His emotional depth makes him very susceptible to forgiveness, though, as we see with Ricky and his mother. Once Ricky feels safe around someone, it's hard for him to break that bond. This is why it took so long for him and Nini to realize they needed to break up.

Leo: Ashlyn

Leo (July 23 to August 22) might be a controversial pick for Ashlyn, but if you've watched Season 3, you know it's the right choice. Kelly describes Leo in Allure as having "royal status" and requiring a red carpet. This is due to the sign's dramatics and passion, but mostly because of their love of the spotlight. While they often affirm themselves and their accomplishments, Leos view relationships as an art form, meticulously cultivating specific friendships to be surrounded by people they choose. In addition, they often throw themselves into theatrical romances. They often try to lead based on their celebrity status, but occasionally struggle with jealousy.

Ashlyn has a confirmed Leo placement in her big three, and this is a huge side plot in Season 3. Though previously more even-keeled and level-headed about theater, the second Ashlyn gets a taste of the spotlight, she wants more. Playing leading lady Belle in "Beauty and the Beast" shifts her ego. She's multitalented and now she knows it. She's very particular about keeping certain friends closer than others so that she's surrounded by both competition and admiration. Her romance with Big Red goes hand in hand with her growing confidence. She also encourages Big Red to dream bigger, even though he's content with the Pizza Shop. She struggles in Season 3 with jealousy when she gets the ensemble casting, but is working on curbing that mentality.

Virgo: Natalie

Natalie is the unsung hero of "High School Musical: The Musical: The Series," though you might forget that at times. Her clear sign is Virgo (August 23 to September 22) because, as Kelly describes in Allure, this sign's main traits are viewing the world through a methodical and structural approach. Virgo signs see how important details are to the quality of whatever they're working on. However, Virgo is often a great sign for friendship, as they have a kind side underneath the analytical side. Kelly writes that Virgo signs "are always striving to provide workable solutions and improve broken systems," and though Virgo signs see the flaws in people, they respect those flaws.

Though most of the characters are often focused on the big picture, Natalie is detail-oriented — as a true Virgo should be. As the stage manager, Natalie is tasked with finding flaws and criticizing them. She respects those flaws but works to make them beneficial. Natalie is constantly going through some dramatic life events but often perseveres for the sake of friendship within the theater. She relies heavily on her emotional support hamster to get through tough times.

While Natalie is sometimes seen as needy, it is more appropriate to call her loyal, like a Virgo, to whatever project she's working on or people she's working with.

Libra: Sebastian

Libra (September 23 to October 22) is all about balance and harmony. If there's a mom friend of the group who is brilliant with mediation and making sure everyone is happy, it will definitely be the Libra. They are artistic creatures who value intelligence, which is often expressed through their taste in style and decor. However, they always live life with a group mentality of "we" versus "me," per Kelly in Allure. This sign will search for friendship and love even over their love of the creative, which is saying something considering how much creativity is valued by a Libra. Typically, Libras can navigate any social situation but struggle with concrete decision-making.

Seb's kind-hearted, caring nature shines through in everything he does. He's always working to make everyone happy while being careful not to cause any additional drama in the theater department. His romance with Carlos becomes a huge part of the story and Seb is often seen mediating conversations with Carlos or saying what Carlos means in a nicer way. His performance as Sharpay is a work of art, which Seb sees as an opportunity to focus on his fashionable side and express his style. Seb is a friend to all and is always there to help when problems arise among his friends — which is exactly what makes him a Libra.

Scorpio: E.J.

Scorpio (October 23 to November 21) is another sign that can contradict itself. Mostly, however, this sign is just misunderstood. Kelly explains for Allure that Scorpio signs possess high intuition to go with their passion and power. As a result, life appears from the outside to be one big game in which Scorpio intends to be many steps ahead. Sometimes, thanks to their strategic thinking and intense confidence, Scorpios can come across as a little evil or wicked. However, Scorpio signs aren't bad people — they just work extra hard to get what they want and aren't afraid to "play the long game." Scorpios also have a mysterious and sometimes seductive aura that attracts romantic partners and keeps competitors suspicious.

Sounds like E.J., does it not? E.J. is passionate about everything he sets his mind to and his popularity within multiple groups gives him power. He's sometimes comparable to Sharpay from the original "High School Musical," because while he may sometimes seem like a villain for wanting to take over Ricky's leading spot or compete for the affection of Nini, E.J. is just trying to let his hard work pay off and follow his romantic feelings. He attracts a lot of people, both platonically and romantically, and underneath all of his intense confidence, he's a sweetheart who just wants to succeed. His talent, ambition, and innate charm all make him the perfect Scorpio.

Sagittarius: Miss Jenn

Sagittarius (November 22 to December 21) is described by Kelly in Allure as "totally unique to this brazen spirit." Sagittarius is unlike any other zodiac signs because they have evenly matched blends of "passion, curiosity, intensity, and adaptability." They seek answers through tough exploration and will always fight for what they believe in. They have a deep-rooted desire to change who they have been in the past or what they've done before and are natural-born travelers. They are known for their incredible storytelling and are always focusing on the creative side of life. However, Sagittarians have a blunt side to them and often accidentally hurt people's feelings because of this breakdown in their communication abilities. More than anything, though, they're wildly optimistic about their situation.

Miss Jenn exhibits all of the Sagittarian traits. She always brings her intensity and passion to the theatrical setting while fighting to make theater and the first production of "High School Musical" a priority. She wasn't always proud of who she was when she was younger, so she's always looking to be better as an adult. She is great with storytelling and often regales the students with tales from her days as an extra in "High School Musical."

Sometimes, Miss Jenn can be a little tough on the students, but all of her behavior comes from a place of love and optimism. Her dedication to her students is her number one priority.

Capricorn: Carlos

Then there's the fabulous Carlos, who is the clear Capricorn (December 22 to January 19) of the group. As Kelly writes in Allure, Capricorns are determined, goal-oriented, and will do whatever it takes to achieve their dreams. They have a know-it-all nature that can often come off as too strong, slightly annoying, and occasionally brutal — but they aren't doing it to be mean. This sign just has a deep love of knowledge about their specific fields and always wants to show it off. They love to look into the long-term and strategize how to best achieve their goals. With all of their ambition, Capricorns have no time for nonsense and instead are always looking for ways to "bop to the top."

It's clear from the beginning of the show that Carlos is incredibly determined to succeed in the realm of theater. He has a lot of talent in that regard, including costuming and other behind-the-scenes talents, but also a flair for on-stage acting roles and even, as we learn in Season 3, reality television. Carlos never intends to be mean or hurt his friends' feelings, which is why it's good that he occasionally relies on Seb to translate for him.

Carlos is always clear on what he wants and isn't afraid to go for it. He knows he has put in the hard work and deserves the glory.

Aquarius: Kourtney

An Aquarius (January 20 to February 18) is an air sign. Typically, Aquarius is known for being "progressive, rebellious, and humanitarian," Kelly writes in Allure. Kelly also says that Aquarius has a sensitive side that Aquarius often hides from others. This sign wants people to dive deep into conversations rather than surface-level niceties, and people who are born under the sign of Aquarius find that most of their joy comes from engaging in social change and discourse surrounding social change. They can also be really strong-headed.

If you're reading this and thinking it sounds a lot like Kourtney, that's because she's the perfect Aquarius. Kourtney isn't keen on social niceties and would rather everyone be real with each other. She's stubborn about what she thinks is right and is a die-hard feminist who isn't afraid to engage people in discourse or attend a protest. However, as tough as she may seem to the friend group on the outside, Kourtney definitely has a sensitive side that she rarely shows anyone. Nini sees it because they're best friends, and now Kourtney is starting to be more honest about it with people like Ashlyn and Gina.

Kourtney's humanitarian nature makes her one of the more supportive friends in the group, but she isn't afraid to stand up for what's right and what she believes in -– even if that means making some enemies.

Pisces: Big Red

In a piece for Allure, Kelly writes how Pisces (February 19 to March 20) is fully present for every experience, both good and bad. They take everything into their hearts because of their intense compassion and empathic nature. Pisceans are also extremely creative, and their talents are a huge part of their personality. It's easy for Pisces signs to become lost in fantasy by turning toward escapism, and because they're so easily overwhelmed with their emotions, Pisceans must be careful to remember reality. They're also unafraid to try new things, as they easily adapt to environments and situations. In particular, Kelly writes, they love music and romance.

Big Red is definitely the Pisces of the group. He's a friend to everyone he encounters and a confidant to those who need it. Big Red is a surprising character, as he is dragged into theater by his best friend Ricky and ends up being really talented. He's great with technology, so he adapts to the theatrical surroundings to do tech for "High School Musical: The Musical" — just like a true Pisces would. He adapts again for "Beauty and the Beast" and joins the cast.

Big Red is also a very talented tap dancer, which is the form of art that he throws himself into -– other than theater, of course. Additionally, he loves the escapism of video games and uses them when he's overwhelmed with real-life emotions.
