Warning: Contains spoilers for "Andor" Episode 1
"Andor" has finally arrived, and "Star Wars" fans are getting a glimpse into the history of Cassian Andor (Diego Luna) before the events of "Rogue One." While the rebel is at the forefront of the series, there are more than a handful of supporting characters. Some are new, and some fans should be pretty familiar with — like Saw Gerrera (Forest Whitaker).
There's a new minor character in "Andor" Episode 1, who Andor speaks with at the brothel in the first few minutes of the story. The hostess of the establishment rocks a killer haircut, and her moment with Andor shines as possible the best moment of the episode. The actress who plays the hostess has been in the entertainment industry since 2008 but hasn't appeared in the most well-known of programs – at least until "Andor," that is. Here's who plays the hostess in Episode 1.
Margaret Clunie plays the hostess in Andor Episode 1
The hostess in "Andor" Episode 1 is played by British actress Margaret Clunie, who is most known for her work in ITV's "Victoria." Appearing in 14 episodes as Harriet the Duchess of Sutherland, the series marks Clunie's longest run on a television show ever. Some of her one-off appearances occurred on series like "Babylon," "Urban Myths, "Upstart Crow,"" and "Harriet, Duchess of Sutherland," to name a few.
Clunie has also done work in several TV movies, but her most prominent feature film is the 2019 Emilia Clarke flop "Last Christmas." Additionally, the actress appeared in the indie flick "Here Comes Hell" in 2019. At the time of this publication, Clunie doesn't have any other projects in the works. Clunie is a former model (via Evening Standard) which helped jumpstart her acting career. Despite leaving the fashion world, she still poses like a professional on her growing Instagram page.
