David Letterman's Netflix Show To Premiere Next Week With Guest Barack Obama
David Letterman is back and he's bringing some very important friends with him.
Netflix unveiled a teaser for his new six-episode talk show series My Next Guest Needs No Introduction with David Letterman, and it reveals the impressive lineup for for the first season. Watch it above.
The series will premiere Jan. 12 with President Barack Obama as the first guest. That's a pretty big get. It'll be Obama's first talk show appearance since he left office.
Each episode of the show will feature Letterman interviewing one guest in interviews that take place both inside a studio and an outside setting. There will also be field segments with Letterman, who retired from The Late Show in 2015. A new episode will be released monthly throughout the year.
You've probably heard of the other five guests: George Clooney, Jay-Z, Tina Fey, Howard Stern, and Pakistani activist Malala Yousafzai.
It's just the latest development for Netflix, which announced plans to create the show in August. The streaming service also has deals with Jerry Seinfeld, Chris Rock, Dave Chappelle, Amy Schumer, and Ellen DeGeneres.
