Here's Where You Can Stream Trick Or Treat Scooby-Doo! Online

The season of tricks, treats, and all manner of spooky things in-between is officially upon us. And much to the delight of cartoon fans of virtually every generation, Warner Bros. Animation is set to deliver one of the sweetest treats of the season via a hair-raising new adventure fronting those ever-meddling kids from Mystery Incorporated.

Of course, if you've been following entertainment news of late, you've probably already heard quite a bit about "Trick or Treat Scooby-Doo!" already. The new animated feature has, after all, been the talk of animation circles and beyond as it reportedly confirms the long-speculated sexuality of the series' turtle-neck-loving fan-favorite sleuth Velma (per Deadline). As much of the "Scooby-Doo" fandom continues to celebrate that momentous event (per NPR), the news of Velma's LGBTQ+ confirmation has understandably raised the profile of both the series and its new Halloween special in unquantifiable ways.

So much so, we're betting a whole slew of folks who might otherwise have passed on the new "Scooby-Doo!" movie are now adding the flick to their spooky season viewing slate. If you're looking to join them, this is where "Trick or Treat Scooby-Doo!" is streaming.

The new Scooby-Doo Halloween special is available on most digital platforms

Outside of Velma's big news, the trailer for the new animated "Scooby-Doo" feature does point to a relatively traditional approach to its narrative. "Trick or Treat Scooby-Doo!" finds the Mystery Inc. gang looking to take a break from their typical crime-solving shenanigans and enjoy a relatively quiet All Hallow's Eve. As expected, the night off goes awry in spectacular and seemingly supernatural fashion, with Shaggy (Matthew Lillard), Scooby (Frank Welker), Velma (Kate Micucci), Daphne (Grey Griffin), and Fred (Welker) soon encountering a slew of ghosts, ghouls, and former foes as they search for Coco Diablo (Myrna Velasco), the designer of all those spooky costumes worn by enemies past.

If you can't wait to see how that spooky, and no doubt kooky, tale turns out, you'll be happy to know "Trick or Treat Scooby-Doo!" is now available to view through most digital platforms, including iTunes, Google Play Movies, Prime Video, Vudu, and more. Unfortunately, to view the new "Scooby-Doo" movie on any of those platforms, you'll need to cough up a few bucks as the current rental price is about $4.99. And if you're looking to own a digital copy of this groundbreaking chapter in the "Scooby" saga, the buy-it-now price is $14.99.

The good news is that if you can put off watching Velma make googly eyes at Coco Diablo for a while, Den of Geek has confirmed that "Trick or Treat Scooby-Doo!" will be available on HBO Max later this month. As of this writing, it is slated to hit the streamer on October 15, 2022, which should give viewers plenty of time to slot the frightful flick into their queue ahead of Halloween.
