Bob Odenkirk Cast In Action-Thriller Film Nobody
Bob Odenkirk is sticking to the silver screen.
As reported by Deadline, the Better Call Saul actor has paired with STXfilms to star in the upcoming action-thriller film Nobody. Odenkirk, whose recent role in Fox's The Post has been conjuring up some great critical response, will also develop and produce the project, which hails from the minds behind Atomic Blonde and the John Wick movie series.
Not many details about Odenkirk's character have been revealed as of yet, but the outlet notes that he will play an "everyday man who gets pushed past his limits." The movie as a whole is described as one that follows a man who's quick to defend a woman facing harassment from a group of ruffians, but quickly learns that "one of the men he put in the hospital is the brother of a drug kingpin, now out for vengeance."
John Wick screenwriter Derek Kolstad will to pen the script for Nobody. Joining Odenkirk as producer is his creative partner Marc Provissiero; the pair work under their appropriately named Odenkirk-Provissiero banner. Wind River and Hell or High Water executive producer Braden Aftergood will also produce, with Deadpool 2 and Atomic Blonde director David Leitch executive producing alongside 87eleven's Chad Stahelski and Kelly McCormick. Drew Simon and Kate Vorhoff of STXfilms are attached to oversee production.
Nobody is yet another project the Odenkirk-Provissiero label has in development. Currently, the banner is working on the miniseries Night of the Gun. The upcoming film also serves to extend Odenkirk's current movie run; he recently popped up in The Disaster Artist and has the comedy pic Flarksy in his docket.
