Andy Cohen To Appear As Himself On Riverdale
Apparently, Andy Cohen is a good friend of the Lodge family. According to Entertainment Weekly, the Watch What Happens Live! host has booked a guest appearance as himself on The CW's Riverdale, stopping by the titular town to help out his old friend Hermione (Marisol Nichols).
Cohen's appearance is described as a cameo. The host will begin shooting next week, with the network teasing that he "will be playing himself and he's an old friend of the Lodges who has come to Riverdale to offer Hermione a helping hand." In real life, Cohen is good friends with Mark Conseulos, who joined the show in season two as Hiram, Hermione's recently released from prison husband.
It's unclear how exactly Cohen's character will play into the series, although his arrival is sure to excite the local teens. Other new cast members for Riverdale's second season included Consuelos; Charles Melton as Archie's nemesis Reggie Mantle (replacing 13 Reasons Why's Ross Butler); Brit Morgan as the "Snake Charmer" Penny Peabody; Vanessa Morgan as the Southside Serpent member Toni Topaz; Graham Phillips as Veronica's shady ex; and Hart Denton as Betty's long-lost brother Chic.
K.J. Apa, Camila Mendes, Cole Sprouse, Lili Reinhart, Luke Perry, Skeet Ulrich, Madelaine Petsch, Casey Cott, Ashleigh Murray, and Nathalie Boltt also star in Riverdale. The show airs on Wednesday nights at 8 p.m. on The CW; Cohen's episode will air in late March.
