The Owl House Season 3 Premiere Has Fans All Saying The Same Thing About Luz's Palisman
The Season 3 premiere of "The Owl House," which is the final season Dana Terrace's phenomenal fantasy series will ever receive, aired on October 15. Without spoiling too much, this latest episode depicts Luz (Sarah-Nicole Robles) and her magical friends — and magical girlfriend — accustoming themselves to life in the human world. As the 45 minutes of densely packed animation unfold, the team discovers a new method by which they can return to the Boiling Isles, and they strengthen their bonds of friendship and love. When splayed out like this, it sounds kind of cheesy, but there's really no way to overstate how compelling "The Owl House" really is.
And somehow, in the middle of everything else the episode had to convey ("The Owl House" only gets two more episodes), Season 3, Episode 1 found time to tease audiences with the potential identity of Luz's palisman. For the curious, a palisman is a sentient magical totem that a witch or wizard is bonded with, familiar-style. For example, Amity (Mae Whitman) has a cat, Eda (Wendie Malick) has an owl, and Willow (Tati Gabrielle) has a bumblebee. Now, it seems that almost everyone is confident that they know what Luz's palisman is going to be. Let's take a look.
Luz's palisman will probably be a snake
What follows are a series of Twitter users who have shared their opinions about Luz's potential palisman, all of which are certain that Luz will receive a snake. @anglo_aleman posted, "at this point we can all agree that her palisman's gonna be a snake, right?" Along side this comment, the user shared fan art of Luz with what her snake palisman might look like. @tee_wportal responded with a screenshot from the episode of Luz's palisman egg next to a frame photo of a snake biting its own tail, with a comment that read, "the MOMENT I saw this scene it all clicked for me." Also in response, @Yukiarts7 noted that, "yes cause almost all luz's stuffs are snakes and when we first meet her she is holding a snake."
While there are enough narrative breadcrumbs for this to seem not only plausible but likely, fans will tragically have to wait until an as-yet undetermined date in 2023 for the next episode. Until then, there's plenty of time to re-binge the first 2 seasons because, again, "The Owl House" wholeheartedly deserves those sweet, sweet streaming minutes.
