Adam Sandler And Chris Rock Become Family In The Week Of Teaser
Adam Sandler is going from The Wedding Singer to father of the bride.
Netflix unveiled the first teaser for The Week Of, an upcoming comedy that reunites him with his Saturday Night Live buddy Chris Rock, and it puts the pair in extremely close quarters.
Co-written by Sandler and director Robert Smigel, the movie centers on two very different fathers who come together the week before their children's wedding. But, seeing as this is coming from Sandler's Happy Madison Productions, everything that can possibly go wrong inevitably does and hijinks ensue. Much of the teaser is set in a car as Sandler and Rock's characters have a fundamental disagreement over air conditioning.
The Week Of, which also stars Steve Buscemi and former SNL cast member Rachel Dratch, marks the directorial debut for Smigel, another SNL alum who was behind the "TV Funhouse" segments and also served as a writer for Late Night with Conan O'Brien. He's perhaps best known as the voice of Triumph the Insult Comic Dog.
The Week Of premieres April 27 on Netflix.
