A Series Of Unfortunate Events Season 2 Trailer Reveals Things Get Worse
Will the Baudelaire orphans ever catch a break? Probably not this season.
Netflix released a new trailer for the second season of Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events, and the the villainous Count Olaf (Neil Patrick Harris) makes it clear that he won't rest (or stop investing in ridiculous costumes) until he's stolen the kids' inheritance and completely ruined their lives. So, you know, it's business as usual.
Based on the bestselling books, the darkly comedic Netflix series centers on Violet (Malina Weissman), Klaus (Louis Hynes), and Sunny (Presley Smith), whose parents died in a terrible fire. They've been sent to guardian after guardian as Olaf goes to extremes in repeated attempts to get his hands on the mysterious Baudelaire fortune.
In season 2, which consists of 10 one-hour episodes, the kids are sent to a boarding school, and they begin to discover that there may have been more to their parents than they realized.
Patrick Warburton and K. Todd Freeman are back for the sophomore season, and they're joined by a few new faces including Nathan Fillion (Castle), David Alan Grier (In Living Color), Lucy Punch (Into the Woods), Tony Hale (Arrested Development), Robbie Amell (The Flash), Sara Rue (Bones), and Roger Bart (Desperate Housewives).
Netflix already renewed the series for a third season, so it sounds like things will continue to get worse for the orphans before they get better. We'll find out for sure when the second season premieres in its entirety on March 30.
