The Director And The Jedi Trailer Goes Behind The Scenes Of The Last Jedi

Fans who pick up Star Wars: The Last Jedi on Blu-ray or digital platforms will get two movies for the price of one.

One of the special bonus features is a feature-length documentary called The Director and the Jedi, which takes us on a two-hour journey behind the scenes of the The Last Jedi with writer-director Rian Johnson.

Described as "an intimate documentary delving into Rian Johnson's process as he comes in as a director new to the Star Wars universe," the movie comes from director Anthony Wonke, who followed Johnson throughout the production of The Last Jedi. Lucasfilm even released a trailer just for the documentary. Check it out above.

Here's the official synopsis: "A fan since childhood, [Johnson] sets out to make the most powerful Star Wars movie he can. Navigating the mammoth . production (the scale of which he's never directed before), we meet his cast and crew, see their individual challenges in bringing the film together, say goodbye to Carrie Fisher, and explore the significance of Rian's more surprising decisions. The documentary gives you a view of what it really was like to make The Last Jedi. As the team strive to do their best, what shines through is their passion and how memorable an experience it is for Rian as director."

The Blu-ray will also include 14 deleted scenes and an audio commentary track by Johnson, along with more bonus content like the featurette "Balance of the Force," which explores the mythology of the Force and why Johnson decided to interpret it the way he did.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi is out digitally today and will be available on Blu-ray on March 27.
