Ocean's 8 Official Trailer Lays Out The Details Of A Fashionable Heist
Ocean's 8 is out of the slammer.
Being a thief may not be legal or particularly ethical, but it is incredibly stylish, so long as you do it right. For proof of that, look no further than the new official trailer for Ocean's 8, the upcoming all-woman, all-attitude sequel to Ocean's Eleven, Twelve, and Thirteen.
The new trailer from Warner Bros. follows up on what the first trailer was putting down. Where that initial tease showed us a little bit of business from every member of the team — an all-star cast of eclectic performers consisting of Sandra Bullock, Cate Blanchett, Anne Hathaway, Mindy Kaling, Sarah Paulson, Helena Bonham Carter, and musicians Rihanna and Awkwafina — the second look delves deeper into the robbers' big plan. And it's a doozy.
The plot of the movie focuses on Bullock's Debbie Ocean, the estranged sister of George Clooney's Danny. After being released from prison, the professional thief gets back on the beat by planning a massive heist at the Met Gala, a star-studded formal fundraiser in New York City.
In addition to its super-fun main cast, the movie will also feature appearances from Damian Lewis, James Corden, Richard Armitage, and original Ocean's alumni Carl Reiner and Matt Damon. Considering the high-society setting of the Met Gala, a vast assortment of celebrity cameos are also expected — not that the movie will need that, provided it's even half as fun as the other Ocean's movies (yes, even Twelve) have been.
You think we need one more? You think we need one more. Ocean's 8 will be out in theaters on June 8.
