Fast & Furious Fans Latch Onto The Family Focus In Fast X's First Trailer

The "Fast and Furious" series has truly set itself apart from every other blockbuster franchise. They go where others are too afraid to. They do what others can't. But, most importantly, family comes first, no matter what.

Today, Universal dropped the trailer for the 10th — yes, 10th — film in the Fast Saga, "Fast X," giving fans a look at what high-octane death-defying shenanigans the family gets into this time around. Everyone, besides The Rock, is back for "Fast X," with Jason Momoa, Brie Larson, and Alan Ritchson joining the franchise. From the looks of the trailer, family is once again at the center of the latest "Fast" installment, with Momoa's Dante coming after Dom's (Vin Diesel) family, who killed his father, Reyes, in "Fast Five."

With every movie, it seems like the Toretto family just gets bigger and bigger. "The Fate of the Furious" introduced Dom's son, Brian, while "F9" brought in John Cena as Dom's brother Jakob. While it doesn't look like another Toretto is on the way in "Fast X," there are rumors about a presumed dead character returning to the family. And speaking of "family," that word sums up the "Fast and Furious" franchise for anyone who hasn't graced their eyes with the best "so-bad-its-good" series of movies around. If that wasn't enough to emphasize the importance of family, just watch the trailer. Dom says it approximately 20 times in four minutes, and fans quickly took notice.

F is for Family

One word perfectly sums up the Twitter reactions to the "Fast X" trailer: family. Fans couldn't help but notice how many times Vin Diesel says the word in the trailer, setting a new precedent for a franchise focused on that concept since 2001. @Brazil201 seemed annoyed with the trailer's emphasis on family, saying, "They say family a lot in this trailer. Family. Family. Family. It's about family." For better or worse, @VampireTweetz and @itisbaki added more focus on family in the replies to the trailer, and, at this point, the series may as well add the word to its titles.

Other fans really love the extreme focus on family. @AliHsnR showed their excitement for the 10th installment, saying, "It's about family! Cannot wait!" Many Twitter reactions were saying the same thing, just with different words. @iSuvodeep, @Joefanatic23, and @Kaushal_rebel all showed their love for the family-centered motto, while @RizkymArifin simply stated what every "Fast" fan is thinking, saying, "We ride together, we die together, fast family for life."

As expected, the Twitter replies to the "Fast X" trailer are filled with memes centering on the Fast Family. @unrooolie perfectly summed up the entire franchise, saying, "We don't need to obey the laws of physics when we go family." Even brands like @Axe and @PlentyOfFish got in on the memes, with the former posting an incredible picture of deodorant in Dom's iconic Charger. If one thing's clear, it's that audiences will go see "Fast X" for the action, but they'll stay for the family.
