New Hotel Artemis Posters, Character Trailer Highlight Film's Star-Studded Cast
Pack your bags, change your name to something location-based, and make sure you've got a back-up plan in case things go wrong — we're headed to the Hotel Artemis.
Ahead of the film's release on June 8, Global Road Entertainment has unveiled nine gorgeous new posters and a vintage-styled character trailer for the upcoming action-thriller Hotel Artemis. Both the one-sheets and the in-motion footage put the spotlight on the film's glittering cast, led by Jodie Foster as The Nurse, a woman who runs a top-secret, members-only hospital for criminals. (Think the Continental in the John Wick movie series, except with new rules, a new ruler, and a lot more IV bags.)
The posters depict painted illustrations of nine of the film's 10 main characters standing in front of colorful backgrounds. Artist Flore Maquin created the stunning portraits, which are displayed at the bottom of this article.
As for the new trailer, it's just as eye-widening as the images. The clip teases that the film's titular Hotel Artemis is the "damnedest thing you ever saw," and gives viewers an even deeper look at the lives of "10 unforgettable people" during one wild night. There's Brown as Waikiki, a "professional thief who strays just a bit when he steals from the wrong guy"; Brian Tyree Henry as Honolulu, Waikiki's "bullet-riddled brother" who will "stop at nothing to keep alive"; Kenneth Choi as "the loudmouth tired gun along for the ride" who "desperately needs a membership" to the Artemis; Charlie Day as Acapulco, an "emasculated arms dealer on the verge of a breakdown" who "drinks a bit and talks a lot"; Sofia Boutella as Nice, the world's premier assassin just trying to keep Acapulco out of her hair while she "ends a life for her career"; Zachary Quinto as Crosby, the "wet-eyed daddy's boy doing what all daddy's boys do so well: failing to earn respect from his father"; Jeff Goldblum as the mob boss known as the Wolf King; Foster as the nurse who will "do anything to save her patients," especially Jenny Slate's Morgan, the woman from the Nurse's past whom she just might break the rules for; and Bautista as Everest, the "adoring orderly" who chases after the riffraff in the Artemis.
