The Mandalorian Ch 23 Has Fans Tearing Up Over [SPOILER]'s Death
Contains spoilers for The Mandalorian Season 3, Episode 7 — "Chapter 23: The Spies"
"The Mandalorian" delivered another riveting episode as we near closer to the end of Season 3. Grogu (voiced by David Acord) gets an impressive upgrade as Bo-Katan Kyrze (Katee Sackhoff) unites the feuding Mandalorian tribes. With Din Djarin, aka "Mando" (Pedro Pascal), they venture to Mandalore, where an unexpected and dangerous surprise awaits them. This harrowing encounter results in the death of a towering Mandalorian, which left several fans misty-eyed.
As Bo-Katan seizes her destiny, the reclaiming of Mandalore doesn't go exactly according to plan. A gigantic creature intercepts the united Mandalorians, driving them underground and into the hidden base of Moff Gideon (Giancarlo Esposito). Here, they have a dramatic standoff that sets the tone for the sure-to-be epic finale. Gideon makes a bold move for Bo-Katan's recently acquired Darksaber, leading to Paz Vizsla's (Tait Fletcher) gut-wrenching sacrifice, which fans found moving.
On Twitter, @GCrimsix remembers Paz's son Ragnar (Wesley Kimmel), who made a memorable impression in Season 3, Episode 4, "Chapter 20: The Foundling." This adds even more weight to Paz's untimely death as they tweeted, "Why did they do that to Paz Vizsla? He had a kid. Not right." They even added a fitting emoji of eyes looking up, filled with tears, to accurately express how fans are feeling after the episode.
Paz Vizsla went out in a blaze of glory
The bulking Mandalorian Paz Vizsla never failed to excite fans with his powerful Gatling gun and unfailing loyalty to the Mandalorians. His final scene was a moving tribute to his expertise with his unforgettable weapon as he annihilates droves of Gideon's upgraded forces. His determined grit sent him out in a glorious blaze as he finally met his demise at the hands of three Praetorian Guard with devastating plasma spears.
Fans weren't ready to say goodbye to Paz just yet as they appreciated his moments in the spotlight. @Giselleb1234 said, "Rest in peace Paz Vizsla you were a real one you deserved sm [so much] better." They capped off their sentiment with plenty of crying emojis. Many fans feel Paz was owed more than death at the hands of Gideon's goons like @StraderZane, who echoed a similar statement. Because of his striking sacrifice, even those who didn't like his character found themselves sad at the end of the episode.
This view is expressed by @MandosMiracle, who wrote, "Though he would p*** me off sometimes... I CAN'T BELIEVE PAZ VISLA IS DEAD?!?! LIKE NOOOOO BRING HIM BACK! He was so interesting." They underlined their point with several broken-hearted and crying emojis to properly capture their feelings. After this tragic ending, fans are more than ready for the Season 3 finale that promises to be satisfying for viewers.
