90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way: Debbie Calls 43-Year Age Gap With Oussama 'Unusual'
As the saying goes, love is blind. But it doesn't take a hawk to see that "90 Day Fiancé" pair Debbie Aguero and Oussama are an exceptionally contrasting couple. The two, featured on "90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way," have a 43-year age gap, with Georgia-born Debbie aged 67 while Oussama, whose home is Morocco, is 24. Despite the significant split never deterring them from pursuing a fulfilling life together, they are also more than aware of the strangeness surrounding their scenario.
Debbie outwardly acknowledged this on the Sunday, April 16 episode of "90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way," which Parade was able to get access to early. The episode sees Debbie meet Oussama's family for the first time. During their interaction, she doesn't hesitate to address the elephant in the room. "You know it was really, really hard for me to accept the age difference between Oussama and myself," she explains to Oussama's parents and sister. "But because of his heart and his words were beautiful, we have an unusual relationship but it's connected in art and honesty and good intention." Thankfully, his parents remain open-minded, with his father noting that age isn't an issue as long as the couple can see eye-to-eye. Their relationship may have come out clean on Oussama's family's end, but not everybody is as welcoming of this peculiar pairing.
Debbie's son has major suspicions of Oussama
It's not surprising that the over-40-year age difference between Debbie and Oussama would raise a few eyebrows. After two rough marriages, things didn't move for Debbie romantically until 12 years later when she bonded with Oussama on social media over their shared passion for the arts. Three years and a few visits to Morocco later, the two were ready to tie the knot, with Debbie planning to move to the North African country.
While Debbie is ecstatic to be with the love of her life, her son, Julian, is on the very opposite side of the coin. "When I found out that my mother was engaged to a 23 or 24-year-old Moroccan male, it made me stick to my stomach and I thought it was a joke," the police lieutenant explained in a confessional. It is not only the age gap that worries him but rather the fact that Oussama has no job, worrying that he is using his mother for her assets. This issue is brought up again when the two go to get a prenup for Debbie, where the advisor expresses similar concerns.
Ousssama's plans to have Debbie live with his parents for two months before sending her back to the States has already birthed trust issues. Given Debbie's past negative marriage experiences, there's no doubt that she — and "90 Day" fans — will keep an eye out for any more red flags.
