The Flash Trailer: Is Michelle Pfeiffer's Catwoman Slinking Around Wayne Manor?

The second trailer for "The Flash" teases even more of a Dark Knight-centric storyline than the incredible footage that dropped during Super Bowl LVII. In the new video, the dialogue spoken by Michael Keaton's Bruce Wayne/Batman reveals how much he and Barry Allen (Ezra Miller) are alike, particularly when it comes to the pain that they share from having lost their parents to tragedy. But at the 27-second mark, what looks to be a blond woman with wavy locks appears on-screen. Her face can't be seen, but judging from the hairstyle, it certainly could be Michelle Pfeiffer reprising the role of Selina Kyle aka Catwoman.

The footage reveals the mysterious individual standing in front of a bookshelf in Wayne Manor's library. And as the shelves slide open, a total of seven Tim Burton-esque Batsuits appear housed in a secret room beyond all the literary works. Even though Pfeiffer is currently a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, she'll always be highly regarded by fans as the Cat in Burton's "Batman" (1989) sequel.

So, the prospect of her returning in "The Flash" is honestly a surprise that one wouldn't think would be given away in a mere trailer. But then again, look at what DC did with Doomsday in "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice." Now, the person could arguably be a long-haired, reclusive Bruce Wayne, or even another blond-haired "Batman" alumna, Vicki Vale (Kim Basinger). So, is it Pfeiffer's Catwoman slinking around Wayne Manor in "The Flash"?

Is Michelle Pfeiffer's Catwoman really in The Flash?

Don't let the fact that Michelle Pfeiffer portrays Janet Van Dyne in the "Ant-Man" franchise fool you. Pfeiffer has already revealed in the past that she'd don the iconic Cat suit again. "It would depend on the context but, yeah, I'd consider it," the actor told The Hollywood Reporter in 2022. In addition to the mysterious figure, there's an unknown voice in the new "Flash" footage, too. And after a closer examination of the trailer, it sounds like Pfeiffer might be cracking her whip sooner than later.

At the 38-second mark, a voiceover — presumably directed at one or both Barry Allens — can be heard saying, "I can't imagine what you've been through." It's hard to discern if the voice is, in fact, Pfeiffer's, but it stands to reason that if Bruce and Selina are together, she'd naturally interact with the Flash characters. Through the process of elimination, it's a pretty safe bet that the dialogue isn't spoken by either the Flash's mom, Nora Allen (Maribel Verdú), or Supergirl (Sasha Calle). It doesn't sound like either of them. Now, here's the fun part — the pièce de résistance.

At 0:47 seconds, the voice continues speaking. "You lost both parents in one day." The second part of the unknown woman's dialogue sounds very much like Michelle Pfeiffer's voice! Even if it's been spoiled, Pfeiffer's return would be epic. But fans will have to wait until June 16 to know for sure.
