Impractical Jokers' Sal Begged His Family To Stop Being Part Of The Pranks
Everyone knows that the stars of "Impractical Jokers" have been through a lot, as it's the primary purpose of the comedic reality prank show. However, no one has been put through the wringer as much as Sal Vulcano. The show's leading loser, Vulcano, has endured countless punishments, and he had to beg his family to stop participating in some of the best pranks on "Impractical Jokers."
"Yes," Vulcano told the San Diego Comic-Con crowd after a fan asked if the Jokers' use of his sister in pranks gets on his nerves. "I have made an actual request to stop using my family. I actually had to sit down with my own family, too, like, 'Stop obliging these people.' You're hurting me."
"He literally said, 'You're my family,' to his sister," his former costar Joe Gatto added.
Vulcano's fellow Jokers then proceeded to describe times they've used his family against him. His mom gave them the key to his house, allowing the Jokers to break into his home while he was on vacation. Another time, Murr legally married Vulcano's sister, all for a joke.
Impractical Jokers has not stopped using Sal's family
Despite Sal Vulcano's best efforts to get his family away from the "Impractical Jokers" set, the crew has continued finding ways to incorporate them into the show.
Season 10, Episode 3, "Anthony Davis," featured the Los Angeles Lakers basketball star joining the Jokers. After Sal lost yet another challenge, his punishment had him choose between a pair of highly-expensive sneakers or a series of embarrassing consequences, including having a notary present as Sal sold his soul to Murr. Sal made the choices quickly and easily until his mom entered the picture. Davis gave him two simple options: pour wine on the sneakers or his mother. Sal, the big sneakerhead he is, chose the latter, emptying the entire bottle on his mom's head, reiterating how much he loves her with his screams.
Clearly, Sal's pleas to get his family away from "Impractical Jokers" has been unsuccessful as they continue exploiting his loved ones for punishment. However, we can't deny that it makes for incredibly entertaining TV, which the Jokers continue delivering season after season. If Sal confronting his family as part of a punishment is what it takes, he may have to get used to it.
