Attack On Titan: How Many Episodes Are In Season 4?
The fourth and final season of "Attack on Titan" has been a wild ride for fans, and not just because of the shocking, world-changing events that have occurred over the course of it. While The Rumbling has unleashed untold carnage from the devils of Paradis, fans have had their own problems as they try to navigate how the final season is even structured.
This is because the first batch of 16 episodes was marketed as "Attack on Titan: The Final Season." However, after it ended on a cliffhanger, it was announced that a further 12 episodes would round out the story. Only that wasn't true either, as two further specials were then announced to finally wrap things up for good.
While this has obviously been part of a shady marketing ploy to make sure the maximum number of viewers are tuning in every week for new "Attack on Titan" episodes, it hasn't left a very good taste in the mouths of fans, despite the overall quality of Season 4. While a 30-episode final season is no doubt an awesome way to send out the beloved anime series, it definitely could have been communicated to viewers more transparently.
The full count for the final season will be 30 episodes
Being that the final season of "Attack on Titan" had already come with the shake-up that the show would be changing from Wit Studio to MAPPA for production, fans really didn't need the marketing team yanking their chain all through the years-long process of the extensive Season 4 release schedule.
Luckily this strategy hasn't diminished the excitement of viewers in any way, though it has made the wait between episodes that much more intense. Now, with only a single special remaining to wrap up the story of "Attack on Titan," it all comes down to Eren (Yuki Kaji/Bryce Papenbrook) and Zeke Jaeger (Takehito Koyasu/Ernesto Jason Liebrecht) against the world and all of their former allies in turn.
With circumstances in the story as dire, horrific, and chaotic as they've become, it seems impossible that all of the surviving characters will make it out of the series finale of "Attack on Titan" alive. Still, fans will no doubt be tuning in to find out what will become of the Allies and how much more damage Eren can do before he is finally stopped for good.
