Who Plays Kassie In Evil Dead Rise?
"Evil Dead Rise" continues to prove the "Evil Dead" franchise is one of the most consistently bloody and entertaining horror series around. This time around, instead of the Deadites tormenting people who went to a cabin in the woods, they're at a high-rise apartment complex, and they have their sights set on a family who already has problems. Two estranged sisters try to keep things together as they protect the children — Danny (Morgan Davies), Bridget (Gabrielle Echols), and Kassie (Nell Fisher) — from the otherwordly terrors.
Kassie is the youngest sibling and the most prone to getting freaked out about the insanity transpiring around her, and she's played expertly by Nell Fisher. It may even come as a surprise to some to learn that "Evil Dead Rise" is one of the actress' only acting credits. She's still young (probably too young to even watch "Evil Dead Rise"), but she has a bright future ahead of her, and there's a chance you've seen her before in a couple of her other projects.
Nell Fisher previously appeared in some New Zealand projects
"Evil Dead Rise" brought the best in Australian and New Zealand talent to bring the scares to the big screen. Lily Sullivan, who plays Beth in the film, is an Australian actress, and Nell Fisher starred in some New Zealand productions before making her big American debut. She previously starred as Tia in the film "Northspur," which takes place in a post-pandemic world where a man must go on a journey to locate the drugs his wife needs to live. She also appeared in two episodes of the TV series "My Life is Murder" as Olive Crowe.
And Fisher isn't slowing down. She's returning to New Zealand productions for the upcoming movie "Bookworm," which will see her star alongside Elijah Wood, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Fisher has a prime role in the film as she's described as playing a 12-year-old girl whose life becomes upended when her estranged magician father, Strawn (Wood), returns to her life to keep an eye on her. She's also poised to star in a new Netflix rom-com called "Choose Love," which will feature interactive components, allowing viewers to decide what the characters do, much in the same vein as "Black Mirror: Bandersnatch."
Nell Fisher proved what she could do in "Evil Dead Rise," and it's clear audiences are going to see a lot more of her in the near future.
