My Hero Academia: Lady Nagant's Character & Abilities Explained

Season 6 of "My Hero Academia" handed the villains more wins than any other season by a long shot. Not only did Tomura Shigaraki (Koki Uchiyama/Eric Vale) gain a bevy of deadly new quirks that made him borderline unstoppable, a number of heroes were killed, and an entire city was leveled as a result of his devastating onslaught.

Furthermore, All for One (Akio Otsuka/John Swasey) seized upon this instability to free previous villains from the Tartarus ultra-max prison, wreaking further havoc on the already chaotic superhuman society. Among these emerging past threats, a new villain emerged who was tasked with killing Deku (Daiki Yamashita/Justin Briner) in "My Hero Academia": Lady Nagant (Atsumi Tanezaki/Erica Lindbeck).

Coming in packed with a loaded rifle in her arm and insanely accurate aiming capabilities, Nagant pushed Deku to his limit when the two met up in Season 6, Episode 21 ("The Lovely Lady Nagant"). However, her rifle and impeccable aim aren't the only skills Nagant brings to the table.

Nagant is a hero-turned-villain with a powerful quirk set

As mentioned above, Nagant's quirk, Rifle, allows her to use a rifle mounted in her right arm to fire shots at a distance of up to three kilometers. She also has a deadly aim and can hit moving targets from a kilometer away, even in rainy or snowy conditions.

She can also use her hair as ammunition, which sounds bizarre, but this is "My Hero Academia" we're talking about here. Nagant can even mold the shape of these bullets for further accuracy and is able to take a pretty wild amount of damage without succumbing to her injuries. This becomes clear when All for One attempts to kill her with an explosion after she decides to let Deku live. The "My Hero Academia" villain had secretly given her this internal bomb when he gave her the Air Walk quirk that she also utilizes in the episode to get a further edge over Deku.

As for her background, Lady Nagant was a former black ops agent in the service of the Hero Commission. There she was used to taking out heroes, villains, and vigilantes who no longer served the interests of the Commission and slowly became disillusioned over the years as a result. Nagant was eventually sent to Tartarus herself when she murdered her boss after she was finally pushed one step too far.
