Who Plays Alfie In The Creator?
Gareth Edwards has an excellent track record when it comes to action-oriented science fiction. He broke onto the scene with 2010's "Monsters" before being tapped to helm 2014's "Godzilla" reboot. He's also the credited director for "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story," but he's been conspicuously absent from directing since that film in 2016. Now, he looks to come back in a big way with the sci-fi thriller, "The Creator."
The film follows a hardened ex-special forces agent tasked with tracking down the Creator, the architect of an advanced artificial intelligence humanity is in the midst of a war with. He must do so before the Creator unleashes a new weapon with the potential to end mankind. It's an intriguing premise, especially with all the hullabaloo about AI these days. And it has a stacked cast with John David Washington, Gemma Chan, and Allison Janney. The movie also introduces audiences to newcomer Madeleine Yuna Voyles, who plays Alfie. "The Creator" trailer makes it clear how significant Alfie will be to this story, but what's the story behind the actress?
The Creator will be Madeleine Yuna Voyles' first film role
Madeleine Yuna Voyles doesn't have any other credits on her IMDb than "The Creator," so this will mark the young actress' introduction to audiences. According to her bio on the site, she should bring a level of gravitas to the role: "Madeleine brings to her performances undeniable natural talent and professionalism. She shines in grounded performances bringing her precocious essence and vulnerability to the characters she portrays."
She's also the older sister to Arden Briar Voyles, who's also gotten a start in the science-fiction realm. She portrayed a Rodian child in both "The Mandalorian" and "The Book of Boba Fett."
Madeleine Yuna Voyles is also active on Instagram, which has gone full-on promotional mode for "The Creator." There's a post commemorating the first day of filming, which apparently took place on January 17, 2022. And now, the trailer can also be found there. While the young actress has just over 750 followers as of this writing, that number's bound to skyrocket as "The Creator" approaches its release date of September 29.
