Who Voices Freddy Fazbear In The Five Nights At Freddy's Movie?
Just in time for the Halloween season, a live-action "Five Nights at Freddy's" movie is on the way to cinemas and the Peacock streaming service. It aims to premiere in late October 2023, giving moviegoers and Peacock subscribers a new take on the globally-known video game franchise. Of course, while it stands to reason that the film will deviate a bit from the source material in some ways, fans of the games can expect a faithful adaptation from director Emma Tammi, Blumhouse Productions, and the rest of the team responsible.
In that vein, it's no surprise that many of the characters fans have become well acquainted with over the years will take centerstage. As the first teaser for the movie promises, on the human front, Freddy Fazbear's Pizza security guard Mike Schmidt (Josh Hutcherson) and the evil William Afton (Matthew Lillard) will appear alongside several of the murderous animatronic animals that sit at the core of the "Five Nights at Freddy's" franchise — first and foremost being Freddy Fazbear himself, played by Kevin Foster.
Throughout his career, Foster has been all over the entertainment world. Here's where you've likely seen him on-screen or his name in the credits before.
Kevin Foster comes to Five Nights at Freddy's with several big credits to his name
Kevin Foster has been around the Hollywood scene for over two decades now, having landed minor roles in pretty big films. Arguably one of his most well-known parts came in 2008 via the Marvel Cinematic Universe-launching "Iron Man," where he plays the United States Air Force airman Jimmy. Sadly, he doesn't last long as the caravan carrying him and Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) is brutally ambushed by the Ten Rings organization. Over a decade after playing Jimmy, Foster returned to the MCU in 2021 as part of the first of the franchise's Disney+ shows, "WandaVision," portraying an unnamed resident of Westview.
Away from the Marvel Universe, Foster has taken up parts in memorable big-screen productions like "Jarhead," "Jurassic World," and "Jay and Silent Bob Reboot," to name a few. He's also made quite a few television appearances as well, including brief runs on "Star Trek: Enterprise," "Veronica Mars," "Days of Our Lives," and "American Horror Story." All the while, Foster has worked as a stuntman in everything from "X-Men: First Class" and "The Falcon and the Winter Soldier" to "Planet of the Apes" and "Sharknado." Suffice to say, he brings a wealth of experience to "Five Nights at Freddy's."
We'll have to see how Kevin Foster does as Freddy Fazbear when "Five Nights at Freddy's" premieres on October 27, 2023.
