Who Plays Fortune In The Rookie: Feds?

While a number of fans may have been disappointed with the premiere, "The Rookie" spinoff series "The Rookie: Feds" has resonated well with critics, earning solid ratings from critics on Rotten Tomatoes. Led by Golden Globe and Emmy nominee Niecy Nash-Betts as Simone Clark, the crime drama has a reliable roster of talent on the main squad that keeps people coming back for more, with several solid supporting players popping up in a number of exciting entries throughout the first season. One such example is the actress that plays Fortune on the ABC police procedural.

Fans of the show remember Fortune first appeared in Season 1, Episode 6 ("The Reaper"). She is introduced thanks to Carter Hope (James Lesure) and his efforts to secure the release of the character's mother, Jasmine, after looking into her mom's case in exchange for his cover not being blown during an undercover operation at the prison with Clark. Later in Season 1, Episode 13 ("The Remora"), the nurse returns to the fold and begins a relationship with Hope after she tends to an injury he sustained.

The actress that portrays Fortune on "The Rookie: Feds" is Britt Adams. Some of her other notable credits besides the well-received spinoff include "Code Black," "The Valley," and "Colin in Black & White." While her efforts in "The Rookie: Feds," as well as within the world of acting, are substantial, many fans of the show might be shocked to learn that Britt Adams has much more to offer the industry than just pretending to mend injuries, ailments, and broken hearts on the hit ABC series.

Britt Adams is an up-and-coming multi-hyphenate in the industry

In addition to playing Fortune on "The Rookie: Feds," Britt Adams is also a writer and producer in the industry. She has already served triple threat duties on the series "Theirbnb," and in 2022, Deadline revealed that she was one of the individuals chosen for participation in the Sundance Institute 2022 Episodic Lab. The program aims to give budding writers and producers a place to cultivate their original works with different workshops, panels, and industry insight from experienced pros.

Adams' series is titled "Onyx," which follows a secret intelligence agency that uses spy and espionage tactics to thwart injustices aimed at black people. The project is one of many that, according to Sundance.org, Episodic Program Director Jandiz Estrada Cardoso is very excited about, saying, "One simple and human anthem of these shows is their infallible pursuit of self-defined victory, in territories as basic as family or as savage as folklore."

Adams' efforts at the Sundance Institute Episodic Lab appear to have been worthwhile, and she wasn't afraid to showcase her gratitude for the opportunity. "I'm forever grateful to Sundance & my fellow creators & my support system & those who love me, for riding this journey with me thus far," she wrote on Instagram. She also added, "Your dreams, your ideas are valid. Believing in mine has been the most incredible joy ride. Strap in your seatbelts. We still going up from here!!!" Expect to see more from Britt Adams down the line, and it would be wise not to forget that fans can always relive some of her humble beginnings when they revisit each episode of "The Rookie: Feds" that features Fortune.
