Vanderpump Rules Reunion Theory: The Big Reveal Is Not A Pregnancy

Ever since the scandal known as "Scandoval" came to light on March 3, 2023, the Bravo reality series "Vanderpump Rules" has become more famous than ever, the subject of jokes at the White House Correspondents' Dinner and meriting explainers in major news outlets for people who didn't know what a Vanderpump was or why it might rule. Partway through the show's tenth season, it was revealed that cast members Tom Sandoval and Rachel "Raquel" Leviss had been having an affair for several months and hiding it from all of their friends and loved ones — including Sandoval's girlfriend of nine years and fellow cast member Ariana Madix. To say this scandal made waves in the Bravo community and beyond is a severe understatement; people have even referred to it as the biggest scandal in the history of reality television as a whole.

The three-part reunion is already underway on Bravo, but fans are still waiting for another reveal: apparently, there's some scandal within the scandal that could possibly lead some of the show's cast members to walk away from the series entirely. Though a lot of fans think the news could possibly be that Leviss is pregnant with Sandoval's baby, it's probably not that. So what's the most shocking possibility? That Leviss cheated on Sandoval — during their secret affair — with his best friend Tom Schwartz.

A producer on Vanderpump Rules said there's a revelation in the reunion that could be huge

Let's back up for a second and talk about what the producer actually said. During an interview about what it was like to uncover Scandoval just after Season 10 had wrapped filming, Alex Baskin spoke to Variety and revealed that the show, which typically resumes filming during the summer, was taking a break before picking cameras back up again. One would think this was due to the fact that Season 10's fifteenth episode, "#Scandoval," required that producers rush to the homes of various cast members with cameras in hand back in early March so they could capture the fallout, but according to Baskin, it's because something huge is coming.

"The reunion is not just a recap of what you know, and it's not just an intense version of the emotions," Baskin said. "There is new information. I'm not saying this as a mere tease. This is true." When asked follow-up questions, Baskin demurred: "I will put it this way: There are revelations, and they are revelations that not all of them know now. So we need a little space."

So what could the new Vanderpump Rules scandal actually be?

There's no question that whatever the reveal is on "Vanderpump Rules" that has yet to come to light concerns Leviss at its center, but what exactly this new information is remains to be seen. As was mentioned previously, a pretty popular theory is that Leviss is pregnant, which is still a possibility — Leviss has not been seen in public for months and is allegedly seeking help at a voluntary mental health facility. That said, there's plenty of other theories floating around out there.

Some fans think the show's matriarch Lisa Vanderpump knew about the affair the entire time, which the restauranteur openly denied on social media. Others think that the reason Leviss and her ex-fiancé DJ James Kennedy broke off their engagement ahead of the Season 9 reunion because she and Sandoval were already involved; timeline theories seem to be the most common, along with musings about a possible pregnancy. What could possibly make cast members refuse to come back, though? It definitely could come back to Tom Schwartz.

Before it was uncovered that Leviss and Sandoval were involved, the show's plot revolved around Leviss' romantic pursuit of Schwartz, openly defying his ex-wife Katie Maloney's request that he not date anyone in their "friend group." Now, it seems like perhaps Schwartz was just a decoy... but what if he wasn't? What if Leviss stepped out on her secret flame during their affair? This could drive a rift between the two Toms... and could perhaps lead to one of them leaving the show for good.

What's been going on with Rachel Leviss and Tom Sandoval post-reunion?

Ever since Scandoval broke and the "Vanderpump Rules" reunion was filmed, news about the relationship status of Sandoval and Leviss has been both inconsistent and sort of bizarre. Both parties released statements after news broke apologizing to their friends, family, and Madix — though Sandoval's first statement actually focused more on the businesses he owns with Schwartz and Vanderpump, Tom Tom and Schwartz & Sandy's — and neither would confirm whether or not they were together. Then, on the day of the first reunion, news broke that the two had split up, only for following sources to say they couldn't break up because they were never dating in the first place.

Amidst reports that Sandoval has been spotted with a new woman, fans sent a photo to TMZ that showed Sandoval holding a cell phone while clearly on a call with Leviss. (The fact that he's holding the phone so that it's clearly visible to other people makes the entire thing that much weirder.) What this means for Sandoval and Leviss' relationship, or lack thereof, is really anyone's guess at this point, but the way the two have handled the fallout has been baffling at times, without question.

Will Vanderpump Rules continue past Season 10?

So what does this mean for the future of "Vanderpump Rules?" One thing is for sure — ratings have never been higher thanks to Scandoval, with recent episodes hitting series highs after the news broke. On May 9, it was officially announced that the show would return for an eleventh season, but what does that look like in a post-Scandoval world?

If the reveal is really scandalous enough to send various cast members scurrying from the show forever, then the show could radically change by the time the next season arrives on Bravo. Even beyond that, it seems hard to believe that Leviss and Sandoval would be welcomed by any other cast members when it comes time to film scenes — and some cast members, including Madix, have been extremely blunt about that happening.

"It's not up to us who comes back," Madix told the Los Angeles Times during an interview with Maloney, with whom she's opening a Los Angeles sandwich shop called Something About Her. "I'm just going to be doing me. Me doing me means they are not a part of my life." Madix also made it clear during the first part of the reunion that, if anyone chooses to remain friends with Sandoval, they will not be in her life, which seems pretty reasonable, all things considered — but it will almost certainly change the way filming even works on this ensemble-based show.

The second part of the "Vanderpump Rules" reunion airs on May 31 at 9 P.M. EST on Bravo, and the final and third installment will air on June 7.
