How Many Episodes Are In The Curious Case Of Natalia Grace?

"The Curious Case of Natalia Grace" premiered on May 29 to Investigation Discovery, the dedicated true crime network home to shows like the "Tiger King" sequel and many others. While 2023 is full of great true crime documentaries, no story is quite like that of its real-life subject Natalia Grace. In short, married couple Michael and Kristine Barnett adopted Grace presuming her to be a 6-year-old Ukrainian girl. However, over time they began to suspect that she was not, in fact, a child but a grown adult, whose younger appearance was the result of a bone growth disorder called spondyloepiphyseal. Furthermore, the Barnetts accused her of a number of crimes and left her alone when they decided to relocate from Indiana to Canada.

When "The Curious Case of Natalia Grace" first aired, it was broadcast over three consecutive nights on Investigation Discovery. Those interested in watching the series in full can find its entire six episode run on various streaming services, including Max — parent company Warner Bros. Discovery also owns Investigation Discovery — and even Prime Video.

Each episode of "The Curious Case of Natalia Grace" is exactly 43 minutes in length, given its original network TV home. Watching all six episodes of "The Curious Case of Natalia Grace," then, takes just under four and a half hours in total.

Natalia Grace's story isn't over

While "The Curious Case of Natalia Grace" is now widely available in its six-episode entirety, a companion piece of sorts, called "The Curious Case of Natalia Grace: Natalia Speaks," is still forthcoming. As its title suggests, this stand-alone, two-hour documentary spotlights Natalia Grace's perspective. Ahead of its premiere, which is scheduled for a date that has yet to be determined in the summer, Entertainment Tonight released a short preview clip in which Grace herself refutes some of Michael and Kristine Barnett's allegations against her.

"It's very frustrating to hear everything that's being said from Kristine and Michael. And because I already don't know who I am, and I want to know who I am and what happened to me, but I'm hearing all this stuff that never actually happened," Grace says. "I'm gonna say what happened because I never got a chance."

So, while the "Curious Case" series stands on its own, viewers interested in a deeper dive into its story with more firsthand insight from Grace herself can look forward to the "Natalia Speaks" film's premiere later this year.
