Does Transformers: Rise Of The Beasts Feature A Post-Credits Scene?
"Transformers: Rise of the Beasts" takes the Autobot franchise in new directions, building off what happened in "Bumblebee" than the Michael Bay "Transformers" movies. Set in 1994, the film sees Optimus Prime leading a team of Autobots to prevent Unicron from devouring Earth, which puts them in direct contact with another alien race known as Maximals, which are basically giant animal robots led by Optimus Primal.
However, fans may wonder if the film takes at least one thing from the Michael Bay movies and includes a post-credits scene. 2007's "Transformers" has one of Starscream going into space. Some of them just had jokes, with "Transformers: The Last Knight" setting up Quintessa (Gemma Chan) to be a big bad in the franchise moving forward, as well as introducing Unicron, who actually shows up in "Rise of the Beasts." Given the events of the latest "Transformers" flick, it's unlikely that this post-credits scene will ever pay off.
So does "Transformers: Rise of the Beasts" have a post-credits scene? Without getting into spoilers, there's no post-credits scene, but there is a mid-credits scene, so after that, feel free to roll out of the theater.
Transformers: Rise of the Beasts sets up plenty for the future already
There's nothing wrong with sitting through the entire credits if you want to appreciate the artistry that went into making "Transformers: Rise of the Beasts." The film clocks in at just under two hours, making it the shortest live-action "Transformers" film to date. Hopefully, that means viewers won't be too antsy to get out of their seats, but if people need to get home or use the restroom, feel free to leave after the mid-credits scene, which does feature a critical development.
A post-credits scene likely would've been superfluous for this kind of movie anyway, unless it was some kind of random joke like several of the Michael Bay "Transformers" movies did. The film suggests some intriguing developments for the future of this series, and combined with the mid-credits scene, there's plenty for fans to speculate on until the next live-action installment gets announced.
There's no word on where the next live-action "Transformers" will go, but fans of the Hasbro toys won't have to wait too long to see Autobots back on the big screen. An animated prequel film starring Chris Hemsworth, called "Transformers: One," is due to come out in theaters on July 19, 2024. But the future of the "Transformers" franchise has been blown wide open, post-credits scene or not.
