Manifest: How Many Episodes Are In Season 4 Part 2?
Netflix's "Manifest" combines the narrative puzzle of "Lost" with the muscular action-drama of "24." The series started out life on NBC, where its first three seasons played out. The drama was canceled in 2021 but was revived by Netflix for a concluding season in 2022 due to strong streaming numbers. That fourth and last season has been chopped in half; its first 10 episodes debuted on the streamer in November 2022, bowing to the tune of 1.37 billion minutes viewed. On June 2, the season's back half arrived on Netflix, and there are 10 more episodes for fans to enjoy.
The series follows the passengers of Montego Air Flight 828, who are on a routine flight from Jamaica to New York City on April 7, 2013. When they touch wheels down in New York after experiencing some mild turbulence, they're all astonished to learn that somehow, five and a half years have passed since their take-off — it is now November 4, 2018. Understandably, much has passed for their loved ones, who have grappled with their mysterious, unexplained disappearances for half a decade. Even worse, the government is very interested in figuring out what happened to the entire group. They are also all gifted with "callings" — an ability to see into the future and to hear a mysterious voice guiding them toward an unimaginable destiny.
Season 4 continues the show's eerie tradition
Season 4 has seen the show's supernatural themes begin to coalesce into a single, blinking arrow pointing its way to the conclusion of "Manifest." A good portion of the show's characters are trying to figure out how to survive the Death Date; on June 2, 2024, all of the group's passengers will be judged by an unknown higher power. If they fail, they die — again. The group manages to figure out that they were dead for some time while they were one with the Divine Consciousness for five and a half years, which both explains their callings and where the plane went during that time. Unfortunately, Ben Stone (Josh Dallas) and his team have just figured out that the Death Date doesn't just apply to their own judgment but humanity's at large. How can they avert Armageddon? Is there a way to go back to the past and right everything that's gone wrong for the group since it found itself in the future? Expect Part 2 of Season 4 to explain that one.
Meanwhile, religious extremist Angelina Meyer (Holly Taylor) — driven mad by the calling — comes to believe she is an angel sent by God to exterminate evil once and for all. She plunges her hand into hot lava to rescue shards of the omega sapphire, which the passengers believe is a key to causing Armageddon. And viewers can find out what happens to the entire group — and humankind itself — by watching the final 10 episodes of "Manifest" on Netflix right now.
