This Behind-The-Scenes Endgame Clip Will Have Iron Man Fans Laughing Out Loud
With four Avengers movies in the books and a dozen character-specific adventures under their belts, the cast and crew of the Marvel Cinematic Universe has been working closely with one another for over a decade. For the viewers, the most important thing is that each film delivers an incredible spectacle of storytelling and action filmmaking, but having a friendly behind-the-scenes environment is also probably crucial for the success of the final product. For that reason, we always hope that all the Avengers get along during filming as well as they do when they're taking on Thanos. Actually, given the mid-world-saving squabbles in which the team is known to engage, we hope the actors are getting along better than their fictional counterparts.
Thanks to the Russo Brothers' April 27th, 2020 Avengers: Endgame livestream event and the tweet-a-thon that followed, fans got to see how the cast keeps things fun on-set during the filming of these grueling action blockbusters. As part of the effort, the brothers posted a short behind-the-scenes clip that showed a lighter side of long-time MCU colleagues Robert Downey Jr. and Chris Evans.
Robert Downey Jr. kept the crew laughing on the set of Avengers: Endgame
The video shows the filming of the scene from the film in which Tony Stark and Captain America prepare to travel back in time to the 1970s in an attempt to collect both the Tesseract and more Pym particles so they can continue to time travel in their efforts to defeat Thanos. Ant-Man (Paul Rudd), shouts a warning to his colleagues from off-camera, in response to which Downey Jr. delivers the fan-favorite line, "Thanks for the pep talk, pissant," before giving an actual pep talk to Evans.

The two then tap the devices on their wrists. In the film, this leads to them zapping back in time, but as that is all added later in post-production, the behind-the-scenes footage lacks this special effect. Instead, to commemorate the successful take, Downey Jr. yells at the top of his lungs, "Naaaaaaaaailed it!" We're not sure if Iron Man is a fan of the Netflix baking show of the same name but, either way, it's a good reminder of exactly why this actor was the perfect choice to play the cheeky Tony Stark. The line got some cheers and laughter from the crew, which makes it clear that, even after all these years, it's still fun coming to work when you're helping produce the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
