Lucifer Season 4 Blooper Reel Makes Us Love The Cast Even More
Fail videos are right up there with cat videos when it comes to shots of dopamine to the eyeballs. Schadenfreude is definitely a thing. There is no denying that we love watching people mess up, which makes this gift from Lucifer showrunners Ildy Modrovich and Joe Henderson so juicy. The creators stepped in at a "DC FanDome: Explore the Multiverse" panel moderated by director Sherwin Shilati and released a never-before-seen blooper reel from season 4.
It is a nice treat to watch our favorite characters slip out of their glossy shell and remind us that even angels and demons can trip up from time to time. Spewing vitriol and sex puns may seem to come naturally for Lucifer and the gang, but this new video shows that's far from the truth. It's important to remember that everyone makes mistakes — or slips in some F-bombs — every now and then. The reel of blunders is a refreshing watch — especially if you've already finished up the first half of season 5. Here's hoping that this becomes a regular thing, because we would love to see goofs from that noir episode.
The Lucifer cast is active with fans of the show through social media where they make it clear that they have fun while they work. The interaction has helped keep their fanbase engaged on hiatus, and boy do we love watching them work. This latest blooper reel is just another reason to love them even more.
The cast of Lucifer is having way too much fun
If there is anything that we take away from the season 4 blooper reel, it's that the cast of Lucifer is a bunch of goofballs. From pulling dance moves that push the limits of leather pants to discovering what the heck a "butt muffin" is, the video reinforced what we already knew. These folks are having all the fun they can with the wild ride that is Lucifer. Another fascinating aspect of this video is watching the actors slip in and out of character with ease.
The fifth season of Lucifer came with an unfortunate caveat: We only got the first half. Season 5 was only partway through production when the industry-wide shutdown hit. Netflix decided enough work had been done to release the first half, and so we got season 5a. The pandemic has thrown a wrench into most TV schedules, and we were thankful that we even got what we did, but fans are still waiting for the last 8 episodes from season 5 — not to mention the forthcoming ten-episode season 6. It's apparent that Lucifer showrunners are in touch with their fans and know that, while we remain patient, we are hankering for another dose. The rest of season 5 is slated to finish shooting this fall. This blooper reel was just what we needed to cool our jets and stand by. Remember, it's all in good fun. Also, watch out for ducks.
