Tom Cruise Looks Cool As Ever On The Mission: Impossible 7 Set
Mission: Impossible 7 has had a bit of bad luck getting cameras rolling on the upcoming sequel. Delays caused by the COVID-19 pandemic caused Paramount to push back its release by four months. The production also came to a halt after a motorcycle stunt went wrong, which caused fans to be worried the movie could be pushed back even further. Fortunately, things seem to be back on track for the action film as evidenced by a flurry of behind-the-scenes photos.
Previous pictures show Tom Cruise as Ethan Hunt dressed rather dapper and getting inside a yellow Fiat. It may not reveal much about the film's plot, but a couple more photos have been leaked. The first is just Tom Cruise hanging out behind the scenes while wearing a mask. While it doesn't tell us much about the movie itself, it is good to see the cast and crew are being safe in the midst of the pandemic. Fortunately, this isn't our only glimpse into the situations Ethan Hunt may find himself in for the action-packed sequel.
Tom Cruise stands aboard a boat while filming Mission: Impossible 7
Another behind-the-scenes photo shows Tom Cruise standing on top of a boat in a Venice canal. Seeing as Cruise and the rest of the cast and crew are wearing masks, we can assume they were setting up the scene before rolling cameras. While we don't know the precise context of the scene, by the looks of it, Ethan Hunt is tracking down a bad guy and has cornered him on a getaway boat.
Regardless of what exactly is going on, Tom Cruise looks like he's about ready to kick butt and take names. Having a fight on top of a moving boat certainly seems like the kind of stunt Cruise would be ecstatic to perform in a Mission: Impossible movie. We may have to wait a while to see how exactly this photo fits into the movie as a whole, but from everything we've seen, the final film should be well worth the wait when it finally does arrive.
Mission: Impossible 7 is currently scheduled for a theatrical release on November 19, 2021.
