The Fight Scene In The Walking Dead: World Beyond Finale That Had Fans Cheering

Since debuting in October 2020, AMC's The Walking Dead: World Beyond has taken fans on a journey through this zombie-infested universe unlike any they've experienced previously. The post-apocalyptic coming-of-age story offers viewers a new perspective on the lives of the first generation to grow up in this wasteland, away from the likes of Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus) and Maggie Rhee (Lauren Cohan). The program recently wrapped up its inaugural set of 10 episodes, giving everyone who tuned in a chance to look back on what it has presented so far, and to determine the good, the bad, and the so-so before season 2 comes along.

While World Beyond's premise is intriguing on paper, mixed reactions comprised the conversation about the show's execution, as evidenced by its currently rotten 41 percent score on Rotten Tomatoes. Common critiques of the show range from its inability to break away from its fellow Walking Dead products, to its story lacking any real depth to keep audiences invested.

However, that's not to say that fans haven't found room to praise the series where they can, often citing a host of strong performances from its youthful cast. and the deep insight the show provides to the wider universe. Aside from those broader achievements, World Beyond's season finale specifically made quite a stir online after airing, and for good reason. One of its most integral fight sequences managed to impress the vast majority of viewers — or at least, those on Reddit — in more ways than one.

Felix and Huck's fight was worthy of pay-per-view

A pivotal moment that came out of the Walking Dead: World Beyond season finale was the reveal that Huck (Annet Mahendru) is the daughter of the CRM's ruthless leader, Elizabeth Kublek (Julia Ormond). Her reason for tagging along with Hope (Alexa Mansour) and the gang was to provide her firsthand experience of the dangers hiding in the outside world, leading to the group splitting up. As a consequence of her betrayal, Huck wound up in a physical confrontation with her former friend, Felix (Nico Tortorella), and the fans couldn't get enough of it.

"Felix and Huck's fight in the house was riveting as hell, and it kept me on the edge of my seat. Was super awesome!" said Redditer TheGoverness1998, voicing a sentiment about the scene that came to define the season's conclusion. Additionally, user comeonbabycoverme chimed in to claim that "That fight was by far the best part of this season," and also praised the thought that went into it all, saying they "Loved the choreography."

Building off of that note about the scene's coordination, crimsonsheriff quite enjoyed the no-holds-barred nature of the whole scene, writing "The fight between Felix and Huck tho! The way he ripped the cabinets door off and slammed Huck." On top of that, Darenegade2332 made it clear where they rank this fight among those included in the Walking Dead continuity. "That Huck vs. Felix fight had no business being as good as it was. That s*** tops Daryl vs. Beta and Morgan vs. Jesus in my opinion."

In that same vein, eas5140 wrote "I absolutely loved the fight sequence between Huck and Felix .. THAT is the type of drawn out desperate brawl I wanted from Rick and Negan... instead we got a few hits with the bat and a kick or two ...." making the bold claim that the physicality of Huck and Felix's combat should've been how Rick and Negan's battles were depicted in the conclusion of their bitter feud.

Felix and Huck's knock-down, drag-out brawl is undoubtedly a highlight of World Beyond's first season, and clearly, people want more action out of the show in the future.
