WandaVision Sneak Peek Reveals This Character's Escape From Westview
Contains major spoilers for WandaVision
It looks like Monica Rambeau (Teyonah Parris) isn't the only one who'll make their way outside of Wanda Maximoff's (Elizabeth Olsen) alternate reality shell by the time it's all said and done in WandaVision. Following the premiere of episode 4, Disney+ revealed a new sneak peek at the action ahead for the limited series, and the person asking the biggest questions about what's really going on in Westview might just surprise you.
The events of episode 4 indicate that Wanda has a lot of control over what is happening in this quaint little town, despite the fact that all of her neighbors in the television show realm are actually real people. Not only is Wanda able to forcibly expel Monica for mentioning Ultron, but she also blinks away her disturbing image of Vision (Paul Bettany) in his true, dead-as-a-doornail form and insists, "I have everything under control." Monica certainly agrees that Wanda is making it all happen, as she tells the S.W.O.R.D. team outside, "It's all Wanda."
However, the preview footage indicates that Vision might just have more agency than fans may expect because he, too, will notice some of the weirdness of Wanda's world and decide to venture outside.
Vision is going to make a break for it
In the new look-ahead, we see Wanda's world continue to cycle through some new sitcom eras from the '80s, '90s, and even the present day. However, Vision seems to notice something's amiss. As he waltzes through his ever-changing neighborhood in his vintage comic book-style Vision costume on Halloween, he says, "I think something's wrong here."
Later, we get a glimpse of him in his modern MCU costume gazing at the sky and asking in voiceover, "What is outside of Westview?" He then breaks through the forcefield, and in one harrowing shot, he appears to have gotten outside — and it may not bode well for him, as he seems to be crashing to his knees near that perimeter. Other images in the sneak peek indicate some trouble could be brewing between Wanda and Vision, as they look to be getting into fight mode as Wanda levitates to meet a flying Vision with her red energy powers at the ready.
We do not yet know what Vision's escape might mean for him. The fourth episode made it clear that he is still definitely dead after the events of Avengers: Infinity War, and even Wanda seems to know it — even if she doesn't want to accept it — based on her unsettling sight of Vision's gray, Mind Stone-deprived face. However, it remains to be seen whether he has been somehow revived by Wanda or will simply cease to exist outside of her fictionalized version of Westview once he steps outside of her bubble.
