The Man In The High Castle Renewed For Season 3
If the political climate in 2017 seems really dark to you, The Man in the High Castle is here to demonstrate that it could probably be way worse.
Amazon confirmed that the alternate-reality drama set after World War II will return to Amazon Prime for a third season later this year. And after getting by without a showrunner in Season 2 (after the departure of Frank Spotnitz), the series will have a new man in charge. Eric Overmyer (Bosch, The Affair) will serve as the new showrunner.
For those who haven't been watching, the series is adapted from a Philip K. Dick novel that reimagines a timeline in which the United States lost World War II, leaving the country divided between the German "Greater Nazi Reich" and the "Japanese Pacific States."
A teaser video (above) and a synopsis for Season 3 hint that things will get worse before they get any better. "As timely as ever, the exploration of characters at a dark point for humanity has provided incredible stories for two seasons. Eric and his team are doing an incredible job crafting stories about the inner lives of those who struggle to do good in a world that is not. We couldn't be more excited to bring season three to customers in 2017."
While we wait for more details, check out a few movies that are going to blow everyone away this year.
