Oscar Nominations 2017: Complete List Of Nominees

The nominees for the 2017 Oscars were announced Tuesday (Jan. 24), and there were few shockers among the list of contenders.

The Hollywood-centric musical La La Land remains a critical darling, grabbing a record-tying 14 nominations including for Best Picture. But the sci-fi favorite Arrival also picked up eight nominations, with nods for Best Picture and Best Director (Denis Villeneuve).

Sadly, despite Ryan Reynolds' lobbying, Deadpool was shut out of the awards. But Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, Doctor Strange, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, Star Trek Beyond, and Suicide Squad garnered nominations in categories for visual effects, sound, and production design.
