Samuel L. Jackson Is Looking For Jigsaw In New Spiral Clip

Even though the "Saw" franchise has a film subtitled "The Final Chapter," this is one horror franchise that seems incapable of dying. Each new film provides insight into the twisted mind of John Kramer aka Jigsaw (Tobin Bell), and even though the manipulative puzzle master died early on in the franchise, his legacy lives on in the form of disciples he earned before his passing.

Now, the series is getting a breath of fresh air courtesy of none other than Chris Rock with the upcoming revival, "Spiral: From the Book of Saw," which sees brash detective Zeke Banks (Rock) track down a killer who's clearly taken a cue from John Kramer as a string of murders based around a series of horrific traps have popped up around the city. It's one of the most exciting horror movies coming out in 2021 given Rock's involvement, and it could be just the jolt the franchise needs to carry on for years to come.

The film may still be a ways off, but a new clip gives us a hint of the kind of tense, creepy atmosphere Rock has made for his horror outing. Best of all, the new clip puts Samuel L. Jackson's character, Marcus Banks, front and center, and he gets a chance to say his favorite swear word. With that in mind, there is NSFW language in the clip, so keep that in mind before playing it around your co-workers.

Samuel L. Jackson is ready to play a game

Bloody Disgusting shared the exclusive clip to its Twitter page. At only 30 seconds in length, it doesn't show much, but it does confirm Samuel L. Jackson will be saying "motherf*****" in this movie. That should be more than enough to get fans excited, and judging from the comments, the hype is real.

You'll find plenty of comments underneath the post of horror fans who can't wait to see the next chapter of the Jigsaw saga with words of anticipation like, "Chills" and "Omg omg omg omg omg !!!!" One fan even goes so far as to say, "If I was a Make a Wish kid, this movie would be my request." However, there's one aspect of the clip that gets a good amount of attention.

As soon as the clip starts, you won't want to blink because after it shows the wall with "Do you want to play a game, Chief Banks?" written on it, there's a subliminal image that quickly flashes on-screen. People in the comments on Twitter managed to snag a photo of the image, which looks like a circle within another circle. One user even put the image together with others like it from other marketing materials, and by the looks of it, it appears as though it's forming a QR code.

What could the code lead to? We're thinking it could lead to the final trailer or perhaps a bit of viral marketing showcasing one of the killer's newest traps. We'll just have to wait and see before we go down this spiral of madness.
