What Is Senku's IQ In Dr. Stone?
If you think superhero stories have an overabundance of super-geniuses in the same vein as Tony Stark, Bruce Wayne, and Bruce Banner, then just wait until you see the brain power at work in the world of anime. "The Promised Neverland" is filled with highly intelligent youngsters, with Norman being the brightest and most mature out of the bunch. Then you have both Sora and Shiro from "No Game, No Life" where they're able to learn a new language within a couple of days and have the skills to lead a nation at a moment's notice.
However, "Dr. Stone" may have just introduced the one character who could make all of those protagonists look as dumb as a box of rocks by comparison. Senku is a hyper-genius in the widely-acclaimed anime as one of a few people who has been resurrected by a stone prison that captured much of humanity thousands of years ago. With him and a few of his comrades, none of whom even hold a candle to his level of intellect, they attempt to bring the world back from the Stone Age to have all of the amenities they enjoyed when the petrification first took place.
It all begs one simple question — just how smart is Senku, really?
Senku likely has an IQ between 180 and 220
A person's intelligence quotient (or I.Q.) is determined by several factors, including memory, mathematical prowess, and processing speed, among others. We've already seen that Senku is exceptionally bright. After all, on top of discovering a solution to cure people of their petrification, he's also invented walkie-talkies, gas masks, antibiotics, and even uncovered a way to harness electricity. It's all very impressive, but what's his specific I.Q.?
While Senku hasn't yet invented another I.Q. test, we can surmise he would be classified as a genius with an I.Q. likely between 180 and 220 — although it could be a lot higher, for all we know. According to the typically accepted scale, any score that's over 180 is considered a genius-level intellect (via Very Well Mind). That would put Senku in the same company as the likes of Marie Curie, Isaac Newton, and Leonardo da Vinci (via Reader's Digest). Throughout the anime and manga, we've seen him exhibit numerous skills that are highly sought after on I.Q. tests, such as his ability to remember a wide breadth of facts, especially those pertaining to math and science.
However, even beyond I.Q., Senku has proven himself a master at inspiring others and knowing how to utilize everyone efficiently so that their gifts come into play. For example, Taiju is very much not a genius, but he has a personable attitude that makes people like him, which made him an ideal candidate to spy on the Tsukasa Empire. Understanding that no one man is an island and that sometimes he needs to rely on his friends might just be his greatest strength.
