Who Are The Actors In The AT&T 'Lily: Samsung Duel' Commercial?
Some commercials you seem to watch more than others, especially the new AT&T 'Lily: Samsung Duel' commercial. This one feels like it's everywhere, but if you haven't seen it, the plot is fairly simple. A new customer walks into an AT&T Wireless store and asks for their best new smartphone deal. An existing customer overhears this and also wishes for their best new smartphone deal. Before you know it, the two customers are in the middle of an Old West stare-down duel, waiting for the other person to stand down.
Luckily for everyone, Lily lets them know the best new smartphone deal is for both new and existing customers, so everyone is happy. That doesn't stop these two guys from getting into another stare-down, hoping to get the best deal. It's a hilarious commercial that really doesn't require a lot of effort to understand, but you might be wondering about the two actors who play the new and existing customer.
Check out who these two actors are, and where you might have seen them in the past.
No part is too small for Holmes and Wilson
The first actor you see in the commercial, the new customer, is Shannon Lee Holmes. Although he has been in a few movies and TV shows, you most likely remember him from his other commercials. He's been seen in the EGO Power+ 56V Lithium-ion Mower commercial, as well as commercials for Butterfinger Peanut Butter Cups, the NFL, and another AT&T commercial.
As for his bigger roles, he is best known for his 2006 debut in Richard Kelly's "Southland Tales." Additionally, he played Cop #3 in 2014's "Hard Crime," directed by Lee Ehlers. Holmes has also been featured on the TV shows "Just Shut Up" and "Here's the Thing."
As for the existing customer who wants the best deal possible, he is played by Johnno Wilson, who has a much bigger resume than Holmes. Throughout his 10-year career, Wilson has played smaller roles on a handful of TV shows, including "Raven's Home," "Modern Family," "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia," and "Jimmy Kimmel Live!"
Wilson also served as the co-star of a short-lived two-season show in 2019 called "Johnno and Michael Try," where he and Michael Strassner try different things, such as joining a cult. Once that project ended, Wilson continued to look for more work as an actor.
For now, we're glad the actors came together in 2021 to bring us the AT&T 'Lily: Samsung Duel' commercial.
