The My 600-Lb Life Star Who Filed A Restraining Order Against Her Ex
TLC's "My 600-lb Life" has the potential to completely transform people's lives. Individuals suffering from morbid obesity, some weighing in excess of 700 pounds, go on the show to hear some tough truths from Dr. Now, who often forces them to examine what made them overeat in the first place, and what they can do moving forward to have the best chance at a long, fruitful life. Granted, not everyone does well with Dr. Now's often direct (some would say "blunt") approach, but for the people who are willing to put in the work, there are amazing benefits to be reaped.
That was the case for Season 7's Brianne Dias, who started the show weighing 742 pounds, and ended it at 358 pounds. Judging from what she posts on social media, she's stuck with Dr. Now's regimen, and has continued her fitness journey. She's a great success story for the show, joining the ranks of Brandon Scott and Cillas Givens, who both had transformative stories thanks to "My 600-lb Life."
But that doesn't mean it's all smooth sailing once a person gets off the show, as Dias can more than attest to.
Brianne Dias had to file a restraining order against her ex-husband and his new fiancée
A lot came to light when Brianne Dias' "Where Are They Now?" episode aired. On that show, it was revealed that her ex-husband, Rick Dias, who was featured prominently in her initial episode of "My 600-lb Life," had an affair with a woman by the name of Jamie Moon. Brianne and Rick have since divorced, and while there was good news as well in the episode — namely the fact that Brianne has lost over 500 pounds from when she first appeared on "My 600-Lb Life" — it was overshadowed by the separation, which allegedly has gotten pretty nasty.
According to information presented by Starcasm, Brianne and Jamie have had several altercations recently, including one alleged interaction where Jamie attempted to run Brianne off the road, while she was driving with a baby in the vehicle. It appears as though Brianne has resorted to seeking protection under the law, as Starcasm presents screenshots of several restraining order documents that certainly look authentic. They've even been initialed by a judge.
Hopefully, everyone's able to stay in their lane moving forward. It's vital for Brianne Dias to continue focusing on her weight loss journey, and considering how stress can exacerbate eating problems, it's for the best if everyone can leave one another alone.
