Miss Minutes Finally Speaks In New Loki TV Spot

Get ready for yet another adorable, extremely marketable character to arrive on Disney+ very soon. No, we're not talking about Tom Hiddleston's God of Mischief in "Loki" (though some fans would agree that he's both adorable and marketable) — we're talking about the mascot of the Time Variance Authority, Miss Minutes. The intriguing anthropomorphic clock first caught Marvel fans' attention when she was spotted in the background of the "Loki" trailers, and again when she appeared in one of the new "Loki" posters featuring the majority of the cast. "Loki" already looks like it'll be an outlandish adventure, but Miss Minutes just adds to the peculiar nature of the series.

Her design harks back to various brand mascots of the 1950s, while her gloves also look inspired by Disney's own Mickey Mouse. There isn't much time left to wait until "Loki" arrives on the streaming service on June 9, and now, a new TV spot has leaked online to keep us all going for just a few weeks more.

In the clip — which aired on ABC on Monday, May 17, according to Twitter user Rebekah Gomez – Miss Minutes finally speaks, revealing to the God of Mischief just how much trouble he's in once he arrives at the TVA after his escape in "Avengers: Endgame."

Miss Minutes has an overly positive personality

Twitter user Rebekah Gomez posted the minute-long TV spot, which briefly charts Loki's arrival at the Time Variance Authority. Miss Minutes appears on a TV screen, and in a sickly-sweet fashion, she explains what the TVA does to those who have been arrested for their crimes against the timeline. From her brief appearance in the footage so far (and on some "Loki" merchandise), it's not clear whether Miss Minutes will be an independent A.I. managing the TVA's systems, or if she's just the clock-face of the organization.

"I'm Miss Minutes, and it's my job to catch you up before you stand trial for your crimes. So settle in ... and we'll get you in front of a judge in no time," she says in a cheerful voice. "Thanks for visiting the TVA! Don't hesitate to let us know how we're doin'!"

Miss Minutes' Southern accent and chipper dialogue makes her weirdly intimidating, that's for sure. Her overly positive attitude is juxtaposed by one of the TVA agents vaporizing a fellow jumpsuit-wearing individual in the same room as Loki, showing that the same fate might await the God of Mischief if he doesn't play along. Interestingly, the machine that vaporizes Loki's armor off (Tom Hiddleston stans, assemble) also seems to have a digital face on its screen. It seems like whoever's running the TVA has a warped sense of humor — or perhaps, as we already mentioned, Miss Minutes could be an A.I. running everything in this sprawling facility.

Hopefully, the series shows more of Hiddleston reacting to Miss Minutes at the TVA, because it just seems like comedy gold.

"Loki" will debut on Disney+ on Wednesday, June 9.
