What We Do In The Shadows Season 3 Release Date News Has Fans Going Batty
FX's official Twitter was buzzing with news regarding the premiere dates for new shows, as well as season premieres on some fan favorites. While this included a reveal on the next installment of "American Horror Story" and DC Comics' "Y: The Last Man," "What We Do in the Shadows" fans were definitely not left in the dark. FX's Twitter also revealed that Season 3 of the series will come out on FX and Hulu on September 2, 2021.
"What We Do in the Shadows" started off as a mockumentary movie by Taika Waititi and Jemaine Clement before transforming into a television series for FX in 2019. The show centers on the daily, or rather, nightly lives of four vampires and their familiar, who all live in a house together in Staten Island. While the series maintains a spooky aesthetic often found within the horror genre, it manages to shine comedically as the centuries-old characters try to interact and live in the modern world. "What We Do in the Shadows" has been a great hit for FX, and fans who picked up the network's tweet couldn't be more excited about the show's return.
September can't come soon enough for fans
Fans are happily celebrating the return of "What We Do in the Shadows" this September, with many noting that the show's third season will arrive just in time for Halloween. Many will be hitting up Hulu this summer to watch the show's previous seasons to get ready. Of course, they're also encouraging any curious viewers to join in on the fun.
"The answer to the question 'What helped you get through the pandemic?'" wrote @electricliteart. "SO HAPPY!!! My idiot vampire fam is coming back to meeee," @gellarsummers tweeted. "What We Do in the Shadows" was also described as "the best show you're not watching" by many fans, including @travistefft, while others, like @lizzybennethere, noted that the series has some of the "best vampire content in the whole wide world."
Given the high praise that "What We Do in the Shadows" is receiving on Twitter, it makes sense that the series has received critical acclaim as well. On Rotten Tomatoes, Season 1 of the show is at 94%, while the second season holds an astounding 100% rating on the Tomatometer. Perhaps Season 3 will follow in the same light.
