New Loki Poster Drops A Huge Hint About A Possible New Character
Much like Loki (Tom Hiddleston) when he first arrived at the Time Variance Authority, the audience remains in the dark for much of the happenings going on in the latest Disney+ series, "Loki." While the god of mischief initially came on board to help the TVA locate a deadly variant, he soon joined forces with her, going on an epic adventure across time to take down the Time Keepers, i.e., the ones in charge of ensuring the Sacred Timeline remains intact.
Numerous theories have materialized about how the back half of the series will play out. Many fans believe Sylvie (Sophia Di Martino) is actually the Marvel villain Enchantress, which could very well be the case. There's also a lot of mystery surrounding the mythical Time Keepers themselves. Where do they reside? Are they even real?
These characters will play a vital role throughout the remainder of "Loki," and they could set the stage for Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe as a whole. With the multiverse and time travel playing a more prominent role in the franchise's future, some significant changes will inevitably happen going into the final few episodes of "Loki." Before Episode 4 comes out on June 30, Marvel has treated fans to another tease about the importance of Time Keepers.
Statues of the Time Keepers receive a poster
Marvel has made a habit of giving characters new posters across its Disney+ series. Since the shows air new episodes weekly, influential individuals become introduced, and new posters are necessary. Even Miss Minutes had her time in the sun. However, it may come across as a little strange that the latest "Loki" poster, which Marvel Studios has posted on its official Twitter account, involves statues of characters we haven't properly met yet — the Time Keepers. The poster suggests these characters aren't going to remain on the sidelines for long, and that hint has fans excited.
As you go down the thread, you'll come across a plethora of responses from Marvel fans wondering what the poster means for the future of "Loki." This includes comments like, "OMG does this mean we're gonna finally see the TIMEKEEPERS" and "We're about to meet them, aren't we?" It's even more exciting, seeing as how the Time Keepers (or at least one of them) likely won't remain confined to Disney+. As @ChaerulAna suggests, "Kang The Conqueror has arrived." Right now, there's no confirmation any of the Time Keepers will be "Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania" villain Kang the Conqueror, but it's hard not to see a resemblance between the character's comic book appearance and the statue in the middle of the poster.
It would certainly make sense if Loki's exploits inspired Kang the Conqueror to step out of his role as a passive observer in the timeline and become active in changing it, setting him up to become a big bad going into Phase 4. Only time will tell, so keep checking back with Disney+ every Wednesday to see how "Loki" plays out.
