The New JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean Trailer Has Anime Fans Buzzing

With the release of the latest trailer for the next part in the oddly awesome anime, "Jojo's Bizarre Adventure," fans finally have what they've wanted for years. They have been pining for news on the ongoing adaptation of Hirohiko Araki's timeless shonen manga since Part 5: "Golden Wind" wrapped up in 2019. Now, fans are more excited than ever as they receive their first deep look into Part 6: "Stone Ocean."

The trailer, which Netflix uploaded to YouTube on August 8, reveals many things about the upcoming anime. Firstly, we are formally introduced to Part 6's protagonist Joleyne Cujoh, a teenage girl who is sentenced to 15 years in Green Dolphin Street Prison on false hit-and-run charges. We also meet several of the supporting characters, including Ermes Costello, F.F., Emporio, Weather Forecast (yes, that is his name), Anastasia, and Part 3 protagonist Jotaro. Finally, the trailer gives us a few glimpses at Joleyne's string-based stand, "Stone Free," with which she plans to "break free from this sea of stone."

Of course, people are practically buzzing in light of these revelations. Fans of the anime are excited to see what happens next, while those who have read the manga are happy knowing David Productions are continuing their adaptation of the source material. In light of all of this, fans have been keen to share their excitement on social media.

What fans are saying about the Stone Ocean trailer

The responses to this most recent "Stone Ocean" trailer have been overwhelmingly positive. Not only has David Productions proven themselves more than capable of adapting the original manga in a way that is faithful both to Araki's story and eccentric artstyle, but "Stone Ocean" is well regarded among many people in the "Jojo" fanbase. The excitement is palpable.

"This looks fantastic," wrote YouTube commenter Track Boss. "David Production just never disappoints, their production has always been top notch."

"Araki has always been doing some crazy s*** for the last five parts, but prepare for him to really go off the f***ing rails, folks," wrote another commenter by the name of Zero Escape. "This part is absolutely nuts and I love it. Cannot wait."

With all of this excitement brewing, it's a shame that fans will have to wait another four months before Netflix finally releases "Stone Ocean" in December. "JJBA" has been a popular mainstay on Netflix's listing for quite some time, but this is the first time the streaming giant has full control over a part's release. Given the series' reputation, as well as this trailer's reception, it's easy to see why. "Jojo's" is a gem among gems, and its exclusive inclusion on the platform is sure to bring in tons of viewers.
