Shemar Moore Is Returning To Criminal Minds
Criminal Minds fans, brace yourselves for something big: seemingly infinitely adored actor Shemar Moore will be returning to the long-running show for its season 12 finale, reprising his role as Derek Morgan.
Deadline reports that Moore is set to guest in the May 10 finale, and he'll play a pretty key role in how things play out for the others involved. Morgan will be seen pointing the Behavioral Analytics Unit in the right direction while trying to catch a serial killer that has eluded and frustrated them throughout the entire season.
Moore circles back to the CBS drama a year after his exit. In March 2016, he departed from the show after appearing in a staggering 251 episodes. The series wrapped up his character's storyline in an expectedly harrowing way: Morgan narrowly escaped a kidnapping, sparking his desire to resign from the BAU and lead a quieter, more family-oriented lifestyle.
Unsurprisingly, Moore's exit left many Criminal Minds fans wondering if and when they'd ever see him as Derek Morgan again. Now, viewers can see a bit more of Moore in just a few short months when the show's 12th season airs its last episode.
Moore will join Criminal Minds stars A.J. Cook, Paget Brewster, Joe Mantegna, Matthew Gray Gubler, Aisha Tyler, Adam Rodriguez, Kirsten Vangsness, and Damon Gupto when he guest stars.
It won't be long until Derek Morgan is back again, but in the meantime, read up on the untold truth of Criminal Minds.
