The Spider-Man: No Way Home Trailer Scenes That Have Fans Looking Twice

The rumors suggesting Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire will appear in "Spider-Man: No Way Home" have been spreading for what feels like years now. The two former Web-Slingers have not been confirmed to show up in the movie, but with behind-the-scenes photo leaks and insiders confirming the rumors, it's safe to say Garfield and Maguire will appear on the cast credits at the end of the film.

When the first teaser for the film dropped, some fans were hoping to see either of the former Peter Parker portrayers, but they were sadly absent. The same goes for the official trailer, as three minutes and four seconds ticked on without an appearance from Maguire or Garfield. It's no surprise that Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures want to keep these big reveals for the premiere (if it's true, that is), but something suspicious in the trailer has fans believing their appearances are confirmed.

The suspicious scene in question comes when Peter (Tom Holland) is swinging toward Electro (Jamie Foxx), Sandman, and Lizard on the scaffolding of the Statue of Liberty. Thanks to how the villains are positioned, it suggests Peter isn't the only opponent they're taking on.

What are Lizard and Electro aiming at?

What appears to be a three-on-one fight in the trailer might actually be a three-on-three battle. Peter is slinging toward the three baddies, and it looks like he's heading straight for Sandman — who is also looking directly at him. Granted, his head is enormous, and he's probably looking at lots of things, but you get the picture. However, the positions of Electro and Lizard have many believing other characters in this shot have been edited out.

Lizard looks like he's well on his way past Peter Parker and appears to have another target. Electro is also much higher in the air than Peter and seems to be looking up or straight forward, which would be well above the Spidey we see in the frame. As pointed out on Twitter, the "No Way Home" Brazilian trailer was cut differently from the American trailer and showed Lizard being punched in the face by no one. Fans just aren't buying it. "They really thought we wouldn't notice them editing out Tobey and Andrew. We know Electro isn't fighting the air and Lizard isn't jumping to his death this is definitely a three on three," @NickCabrales tweeted. "Marvel legit cgi out andrew and Toby from the final shot lol. Lizard isn't even heading for tom lol but anyways can't wait to see all three on screen," @augustlegend added.

It looks like two other players have been edited out of this scene, and they very well could be Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield. Former photo leaks of the actors on set show them around scaffolding, where this trailer scene happens to take place. Some have argued that those photos were photoshopped, and Maguire and Garfield are not in the film, but this new evidence suggests otherwise.
