Theatergoers got a multiverse-sized dish of fan service throughout Tom Holland's third installment as Marvel's web-slinger, including the much-anticipated returns of Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield, their old Spidey villains, and then two revealing post-credits scenes. Social media users have been showering the entire "No Way Home" cast with praise since its early release on December 16, but there have been two characters in particular who've stood out about the rest, with many feeling they stole the show.

"They took their characters to the next level," gushed Redditor u/chalupa_lover in a "No Way Home" discussion thread, which has thousands of commenters in agreement over the two actors with the best performances.  "Those two were the standouts," said u/Stopthelemurs. So which two actors managed to blow away viewers the most?

Fans can't stop talking about Willem Dafoe and Andrew Garfield

Out of everyone who appeared in "No Way Home," stars Willem Dafoe and Andrew Garfield seem to be getting the most love for their performances.

"Dafoe and Garfield absolutely stole the show," remarked Redditor u/chalupa_lover from the earlier discussion thread, prompting over 3,000 upvotes. "We got redemption for Garfield and Dafoe gets to go crazier than he ever did before, specifically the moment where he's laughing while getting punched," replied u/Dwayne30RockJohnson. "Loved that moment." Over on Twitter, people have also been propping up Dafoe's Green Goblin and Garfield's Spider-Man as the highlights of "No Way Home."

"Willem Dafoe was unbelievable. He steals the show in every film he's in, without doubt the best spiderman villain," commented user @_Riddxck, garnering hundreds of retweets. "No way home proves garfield is the best peter parker and spider-man," tweeted @iSudhakarkumar, noting how "Willem Dafoe is as deliciously evil as ever." User @Chrocky13_ concluded, "Andrew Garfield is the best Spider-Man and William [sic] dafoe is the best villian [sic], there is no debating."
