The Request That Samuel L. Jackson Has In Every One Of His Contracts
When someone is one of the most famous people in the world, the odds are high that they usually find themselves in the position to make some interesting demands. Of course, that also leads to some of Hollywood's biggest names making surprisingly odd and quirky demands.
There is Tom Cruise's well-known but unusual demand that custom thongs be made for him to wear when he is performing stunts in his films. Additionally, there are the demands made by someone like Jennifer Lopez, who reportedly required that a helicopter be kept on standby, a custom speedboat be made available to her, and a pair of diamond-encrusted headphones be given to her before she agreed to appear at the World Music Awards in 2010 (via Marie Claire).
Taking all this into account, as one of the stars of both the Marvel and "Star Wars" franchises, Samuel L. Jackson has reached the point in his career where he can pretty easily make some demands whenever he signs onto a new project. Fans may be surprised to learn, however, the unique demand that he builds into every one of his contracts.
Samuel L. Jackson always finds time to go golfing
Samuel L. Jackson is the most bankable actor in Hollywood. With nearly 200 screen credits to his name (via IMDb), Jackson has appeared in everything from "The Avengers" and "Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith" to cult thrillers like "Snakes on a Plane" and beloved indie films like "Pulp Fiction." His appearances in all those films — as well as many, many others — have made him one of the most recognizable and influential actors in Hollywood. His passion for acting is, indeed, unrivaled. Apparently, so is his love for golf.
According to Clubhouse Swing U, Jackson is an avid golfer, so much so that he actually beat Tiger Woods at the St. Andrews golf course. That suggests that Jackson could have reasonably pursued professional golf as a second career. Fortunately for his millions of fans, he became an actor instead and plays golf recreationally. However, his passion for golf clearly hasn't disappeared. In fact, Jackson even requires that it be written into all of his film contracts that he is allowed to go golfing twice a week while shooting a project (via The New York Times).
Considering just how busy Jackson keeps, it's undeniably impressive that he manages to star in as many movies and TV shows as he does while also maintaining a healthy hobby as a recreational golfer.
