The Best Character On Sons Of Anarchy According To Fans

For seven seasons, fans of "Sons of Anarchy" watched as Jax Teller (Charlie Hunnam) devolved from a biker looking to get out of running guns to the villain of the show. Jax made many decisions that led to devastating consequences. The president of the motorcycle club met an ultimate end, dying the same way his father had in the series finale. This aspect of Jax is heartbreaking. As the series was a loose adaptation of Shakespeare's "Hamlet," as creator Kurt Sutter once hinted, it was bound to have some tragedy in the end.

Even so, the ending of "Sons of Anarchy" had some light at the end of the tunnel. Fan-favorites like Jax and Tara (Maggie Siff) had died tragically but some characters remained. Chucky (Michael Ornstein) went on to another biker club when he joined the spinoff series "Mayans M.C." (via The Hollywood Reporter). And even though the show concluded in 2014, there is one character that fans continue to love and support to this day.

Everyone loves Chibs

Many members of the Sons of Anarchy Motorcycle Club (Redwood Original) are accustomed to making morally compromising decisions. The club's first president, Clay Morrow (Ron Perlman) practically lived in shades of gray, often inciting wars with charters and other motorcycle clubs alike. And even when Jax went to the dark side, there was one character that kept his morality. Filip "Chibs" Telford (Tommy Flannagan) originally hailed from Scotland but never forgot his loyalty to the club. This seems to be one of the reasons why fans on Reddit love him.

"[Chibs] and Bobby were the only two truly loyal members imo. Every other character got too wrapped up in their own s*** and caused harm to the club in the process," posted u/dadhatt. Bobby, unfortunately, died before the show ended, making Chibs the right choice to take over the leadership of the club. And when Juice went so far as to contemplate suicide, Chibs was the only one there to talk him back down.

"He seemed to me to be the least inherently evil with plots, schemes, and selfishness," stated u/moviesandcats. As they and other Redditors pointed out, Chibs always did the right thing for the club. He questioned Clay when he felt the soul of the club was at stake. And he was the only one who was pure of intention enough to take up the mantle of president after Jax's death. Though Chibs wasn't perfect, he was the heart of the club and never allowed himself to be swayed into darkness.
